According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, multiple sources within the company have confirmed to him that Rhodes signed a new contract with WWE 10-14 days ago. He continues on to say that the current plan is for the former-AEW man to debut Wrestlemania weekend, with early speculation being that he will report to Monday Night Raw.

On February 15, 2022, AEW announced that Cody and Brandi Rhodes would be moving on from the company. Both had been part of AEW since its inception, with Cody serving as one of the four Executive Vice Presidents and Brandi acting as the Chief Brand Officer along with their on-screen roles as talent.

Rhodes was a staple on WWE programming from July 2007 when he debuted until May 2016 when he requested his release. In the years prior to AEW's launch, Rhodes toured the world, working for ROH, IMPACT, NJPW, and countless independent promotions.

During a recent media call, AEW President Tony Khan explained that he wanted to keep Cody Rhodes beyond the optional years included in his original contract but unfortunately, they were not able to reach an agreement. Click here to learn more here.
