A new report has come out indicating that tonight will be EC3's last night in Impact Wrestling.
PWInsider reported this evening that EC3, real name Michael Hutter, will finish up at tonight's Impact tapings in Orlando, Florida. Although his contract is set to expire later this summer, PWInsider says he was granted an early release and will be done by the completion of tonight's tapings.
EC3 has been a big part of Impact Wrestling since his arrival in 2013. He was introduced as Dixie Carter's nephew and quickly garnered a push, winning the Impact Global title on two occasions. In the current set of tapings, he's been embroiled in a feud with Tyrus after the latter made his return to the promotion. They started off as associates again, but the partnership quickly dissolved.
Before coming to Impact Wrestling, he was known as Derrick Bateman in the WWE, appearing on both versions of NXT, though he wasn't featured much before being released in May of 2013.
