Erick Rowan is reportedly headed back to WWE.

On Wednesday, May 1, PWInsider issued a report revealing that Erick Rowan has signed a deal with WWE. The outlet did not state when Rowan is planned to make his return to the promotion.

This signing would end Rowan's four year absence from WWE, as he was released from the company in April 2020 due to COVID-19 budget cuts. Before his release, Rowan had been featured in the company as a singles star and as a tag team/trios member with Luke Harper (Brodie Lee) and Bray Wyatt.

Since being released from WWE, Rowan has stayed active on the independent scene under the ring name 'Erick Redbeard', competing in promotions like Northeast Wrestling and Canadian Wrestling's Elite.

Fightful will update fans when more is known about Rowan's potential return to WWE. For now Rowan is a safe bet for a comeback.

Rowan was recently pulled from an East Coast Pro Wrestling show due to "new contractual obligations". Fans can learn more about that incident by clicking here.
