WWE will be chronicling Bill Goldberg’s career at the age of 54.
Since 2016, Bill Goldberg has appeared for WWE on a regularly recurring basis since defeating Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series of that year.
Now, according to WWE Network News, WWE will be releasing a documentary about Bill Goldberg’s current stage in his career this Sunday, March 7.
March 7th will also see the WWE Network premiere of Heaven, a non-pro wrestling-focused documentary, the first of its kind on WWE Network.
The synopsis for the documentary can be seen below.
“Goldberg never thought he would still be wrestling at 54 years old. Thanks to changes in his training and the drive to continue to push himself in a sport he has grown to love, the WWE Hall of Famer still competes inside the squared circle at an elite level.”
Most recently, Goldberg lost to Drew McIntyre in a WWE championship match at this year's Royal Rumble event.
WWE also confirmed this documentary and several other programs on the network's schedule this week.
From a pair of inspiring documentaries to a long-awaited championship showdown, WWE Network is kicking off March in a big way with a week full of must-see original programming.
Highlighting the schedule is this Sunday’s world premiere of HEAVEN, which tells the story of high school athlete Heaven Fitch. Fitch made history in 2020 by becoming the first female to win a boy’s state wrestling championship in North Carolina. Narrated by Beth Phoenix, this film marks WWE Network Documentaries’ first foray outside the genre of sports-entertainment, and it will be available to stream on demand on the Free Version of WWE Network and across WWE social channels.
Also premiering Sunday is Goldberg at 54, which follows the WWE Hall of Famer as he prepared for his WWE Championship Match against Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble in January. This intimate look at the former Universal and World Heavyweight Champion reveals the mental and physical challenges that Goldberg was forced to confront during his most recent comeback as he readied to challenge a world-beater 20 years his junior.
Before that, though, be sure to check out NXT UK this Thursday, when the legendary Meiko Satomura challenges the brand’s longest-reigning women’s champion in history, Kay Lee Ray. Having demanded to face the world’s best, Ray gets her wish in the form of Satomura, the dangerously skilled veteran who’s reverentially referred to as “The Final Boss.” NXT UK witnessed one historic reign come to an end last week when Pretty Deadly unseated Gallus as tag team champions; will KLR be the next champion to fall?
Will “The Final Boss” end Kay Lee Ray’s record-setting reign as NXT UK Women’s Champion? Watch WWE action on WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.
