Big news regarding WWE Crown Jewel.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Hulk Hogan will be the host of Friday's event in Saudi Arabia.
It's been a mysterious day in WWE in regards to Hogan as he was first advertised to appear at Crown Jewel on their website and then pulled hours later.
Earlier this month Hogan told the Orlando Sentinel, "There are a lot of plans in the works I’m looking forward to going to Saudi Arabia with the WWE, looking forward to WrestleMania -- but yeah, we’re moving forward at a rapid pace. It’s exciting to have this opportunity again after all these years where I was there and gone.”
Saudi officials originally wanted Hogan to appear at the Greatest Royal Rumble in April, but Hogan was still on the outs with WWE following his 2015 dismissal over leaked tapes capturing Hogan using racist language. Hogan was brought back into the company in July of this year, showing up at Extreme Rules to issue an apology to the WWE locker room. He has not appeared on WWE television since WrestleMania 31.
WWE has not officially announced Hogan as being part of the Crown Jewel event.
