Two top NXT stars are reportedly working on the main roster.
According to John Pollock of POST Wrestling, Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly are set to work a dark match ahead of Friday's WWE SmackDown in Evansville. Fightful has confirmed the report.
Gargano and O'Reilly both wrestled on Tuesday's NXT with Gargano teaming with Dexter Lumis in a loss to Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams. O'Reilly teamed with Von Wagner in a loss to Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza).
According to reports, the contracts of O'Reilly and Gargano are set to expire in December.
Gargano officially signed with WWE in April 2016, but had made appearances in NXT television in 2015. He is one of the most decorated NXT superstars of all time as a former NXT Champion, NXT North American Champion, and NXT Tag Team Champion.
O'Reilly signed with NXT in 2017. He is a former three-time NXT Tag Team Champion.
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
