Kenny Omega reportedly won't be appearing at AAA TripleMania Regia.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Kenny Omega won't compete at AAA TripleMania Regia as he is set to undergo multiple surgeries.
Meltzer reports that Omega will undergo surgery for his "shoulder, knee and abdominal issues, and likely for a septum issue." Omega reportedly worked most of this year with a torn labrum in his shoulder and has worked for months with an abdominal hernia and knee issues.
The report notes that Omega is expected to return sometime in February, but that Tony Khan told him to take as much time as he needs.
AAA Lucha Libre were reportedly informed on November 17 that Omega would be getting surgery and wouldn't be able to compete at AAA TripleMania Regia on December 4. He was expected to defend his AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo. AAA reportedly has a backup plan.
Omega announced on Wednesday's Dynamite that he would be taking time away from AEW to "fix" things.
In a video where Kenny underwent a chiropractic adjustment by Dr. Beau Hightower, he revealed that he has had to train himself to wrestle in a spinning ring due to bouts of vertigo he's faced since 2018.
He also confirmed a shoulder injury, saying he was having difficulty doing a straight side arm raise.
