The latest details on the status of Mike and Maria Kanellis.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Mike and Maria Kanellis are not on the road with WWE and are not scheduled to be on the road this week. Johnson calls this "a little weird because everyone's on the road every week." Mike Kanellis hasn't wrestled on WWE television or at a live event since Dec. 4 when he appeared on 205 Live.
Furthermore, Mike and Maria’s “Power Of Love" has been pulled from the WWE Network schedule. The special was set to air in honor of Valentine's Day.
On Jan. 16, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that the couple had requested their release from WWE. Fightful later confirmed that the request was made. Two days later, Maria went on social media and emphatically stated, "I DID NOT ask for my release. Speculation and rumors are running rampant. Someone is playing all the wrestling news sites. WWE is set for a big weekend in Phoenix with Axxess beginning on Friday and running all weekend, leading into the Royal Rumble on Sunday.
