Report: MLW Hires Former SmackDown Head Writer As Producer

As the restart gets closer, MLW has hired several new producers, one new producer happens to be the former head writer of WWE SmackDown.

According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Major League Wrestling has hired Alex Greenfield as a producer. Greenfield was formerly the head writer of WWE SmackDown. Specifically, Greenfield will be working with the behind-the-scenes aspect of the promotion.

MLW has also hired Biff Lawson. Lawson has worked on several A&E Network live series, including Live PD and Emergency Rescue, and will be working with the company as a producer.

As first reported by Fightful Select, Fightful has learned that Major League Wrestling is set to film upcoming episodes this month in Orlando. Those involved asked us to not reveal the location or dates in an effort to not compromise their COVID protocols with fans showing up to the venue, implying that fans will not be participating. When contacted, the venue reiterated the point that they were booked up, but fans would not be in attendance.
