Report: NXT UK Suspends Joe Coffey, Releases Two Referees

More action taken against NXT UK talent. 

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports Joe Coffey has been suspended by NXT UK.

Coffey has been accused of sexual harassment, sending unwanted pictures, and stalking.

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, NXT UK referee Joel Allen was released over the weekend. 

Allen was seen in a video with David Starr making lewd comments towards women. Starr has been accused of multiple acts of sexual abuse and misconduct. 

Meltzer also reports that NXT UK referee Chris Roberts was released. 

Roberts has been accused of grooming.

El Ligero, Travis Banks, and Jack Gallagher were previously released amid sexual abuse, assault, and misconduct allegations. 

NXT UK has been on hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic with live events being suspended. NXT UK talent reportedly participated in a mandatory conference call on Tuesday, though there has been no announcement coming out of the conference as had been previously reported. 

It was reported in May by Sportskeeda's Gary Cassidy that NXT UK talent had been doing seminars at home and that there was a tentative plan to tape empty shows. NXT UK roster members have been taping promos that have aired on recent episodes of NXT UK.
