There are conflicting stories on where Rey Mysterio Jr was last night.
Over the past week, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated has been reporting Rey Mysterio Jr is close to a contracted agreement with WWE to come back and compete at Wrestlemania. He also reported Mysterio would be wrestling John Cena at Wrestlemania 34 and Mysterio was in Los Angeles at Smackdown Live last night. However, PWInsider is reporting Rey Mysterio was not backstage. The match between Mysterio and Cena is unconfirmed as well.
Mysterio made a one night return at WWE Royal Rumble where he appeared to be in excellent shape and was showcased during the Royal Rumble match. It has been reported that one of the hangups about a WWE deal would be the full-time schedule because the 43 year old Mysterio would want a lighter schedule.
Mysterio has been scheduled for a match at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Strong Style Evolved event against Jushin "Thunder" Liger which takes place two weeks before Wrestlemania 34.
