Report: Ronda Rousey Suffered Broken Hand At WrestleMania 35, Injury Described As "Severe"

Ronda Rousey did not walk away from the main event of WrestleMania unscathed.

"The Man" Becky Lynch emerged victorious from the main event of WrestleMania 35 by besting Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win both the RAW and SmackDown Live Women's Championships. Becky Lynch won the match by pinning Ronda Rousey in controversial fashion but coming out of the event, it was stated by Dave Meltzer during the WrestleMania 35 edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Ronda Rousey has been diagnosed with a "severely" broken hand.

Dave Meltzer noted in his post-WrestleMania update on F4WOnline that Ronda Rousey did break her right hand throwing punches during last night's main event.


As mentioned in the beginning portions of this article, Becky Lynch pinned Ronda Rousey in controversial fashion. Ronda loaded Becky up for her "Piper's Pit" finisher and Becky reversed it into a crucifix bomb with a follow-up pin. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp later learned that the referee messed up the count. Adding on to the news of the potentially botched finish, sources have informed Kristen Ashly and Tom Colohue that the finish of the match did not go according to plan and that Becky Lynch was supposed to tap out Charlotte Flair.
