As a new temple opens, another closes.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that Salina de la Renta has departed MLW following Wednesday's episode of Fusion. She appeared in the closing scene of Fusion where it was implied that she was sacrificed by El Jefe of Azteca Underground.
In an interview with John Pollock of POST Wrestling, MLW CEO Court Bauer confirmed that Salina had finished up with the promotion.
El Jefe turned out to be Dario Cueto (Luis Fernandez-Gil), who has reportedly signed a long-term deal with the promotion. Fernandez-Gil played the role of Cueto during Lucha Underground's run and received raved reviews for his work as the on-screen owner and promoter of Lucha Underground.

Azteca Underground is a spin-off of Lucha Underground with Mil Muertes previously being revived for the promotion.
At the end of Wednesday's Fusion, Cueto announced that he would be at the MLW show in July and that more sacrifices would be made as he continues to build his temple.
