Saudi Arabia has shared intelligence with the United States regarding a potential attack.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia has shared with the United States intelligence of an "imminent attack" from Iran. The attacks are reported planning for "targets in the Kingdom."
“We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis,” said a National Security Council spokesperson. “We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.”
The warning has prompted Saudi Arabia, the United States, and several other neighboring states to "raise the level of alert for their military forces."
Nasser Kanaani, who serves as the spokesman for the foreign ministry in Iran, denied plans to launch an attack on Saudi Arabia and called the accusations “baseless."
