WWE is hoping Rey will be back in action before their next pay-per-view.
"The Master Of The 619" Rey Mysterio separated his AC joint during his United States Championship match against Samoa Joe at WWE's Money In The Bank pay-per-view. Rey took to his personal Instagram page and explained how the injury came about and according to PWInsider, WWE is targeting a date in early July for Rey to return and being cleared factors into that date as well. The target date mentioned in the report is the July 8th edition of Monday Night RAW which will emanate from Newark, New Jersey.
After Money In The Bank, Rey Mysterio appeared on WWE RAW and relinquished the United States Title to Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe would carry the gold until last night at Stomping Grounds where he was bested by Ricochet.
Ricochet was greeted by the likes of Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, Curt Hawkins, Carmella, Heavy Machinery and NXT founder and senior producer Triple H after his title win and to get a recap of the action and post-match interviews coming out of Stomping Grounds, check out Fightful's post-PPV Fight Size.
