Rob Van Dam Explains Why He Has Not Made An Appearance For GCW

RVD says GCW didn't have the RVD fee.

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam remains somewhat active in the ring. He wrestled several matches for AEW between August 2023 and April 2024. He has also made a few appearances for WWE in recent months. The former ECW star has often been linked to GCW, as the two promotions are frequently compared to each other, and other ECW legends have worked for GCW.

Speaking on his 1 Of A Kind with RVD podcast, Rob Van Dam was asked whether GCW had ever reached out to him.

“Yes, they have reached out. We weren’t able to reach a business agreement, I was out of their budget. Sabu had told me about them, saying that he thought it was a really cool company to work for. He compared it to ECW and said it was cool like that. That happened, and then they did reach out. They didn’t have the RVD fee, which is not a big surprise because I’m not priced to be out there on the road full-time," RVD said.
