Report: WWE Day 1 2023 Canceled, Not Being Rebranded

WWE Day 1 2023 has reportedly been canceled.

WWE Day 1 began in 2022 and appeared to be being set up as a tradition going forward. WWE Day 1 2023 was announced to be taking place on Sunday, January 1, 2023, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, but now, a new report suggests that the event has been canceled and will not be rebranded or rescheduled.

Wrestlenomics has reported that the event is believed to be canceled in 2023. Wrestlenomics was unable to confirm a reason for cancelation but do note that if Day 1 would have taken place on Sunday, January 1, it would have gone head-to-head on Peacock with NBC's last Sunday Night Football game of the regular season between the LA Rams and LA Chargers.

As of this writing, the event is still listed on the website for the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

As of now, with this reported change, there is no Premium Live Event scheduled between Survivor Series 2022 and the Royal Rumble in 2023.

We will continue to monitor this story and report any and all updates as they are made available.
