New information on the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Tournament.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports WWE King and Queen of the Ring will take place in Saudi Arabia. The event is scheduled for May 27. The date was first reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
WWE revived the King of the Ring tournament in 2021 with Xavier Woods winning the tournament. The promotion also introduced the Queen of the Ring tournament the same year with Zelina Vega winning the tournament. The finals for both tournaments took place in Saudi Arabia.
WWE King of the Ring was an almost annual standalone event and pay-per-view from 1995 to 2002.
WWE makes multiple trips to Saudi Arabia each year as part of its contract with the Saudi Sports Authority.
WWE has not confirmed the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments. Fightful will provide more information on the events when they are known.
