The WWE Raw commentary will be undergoing changes on Monday.
According to a report from Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc, Adnan Virk will replace Tom Phillips on the WWE Raw commentary team beginning Monday, April 12. Virk will take on play-by-play duties behind the desk.
In an update, Giri reports Phillips will not be working WrestleMania 37 due to COVID protocols. His replacement for WrestleMania was not given.
Andrew Zarian of Mat Men reports the new Raw commentary team will consist of Virk, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves. There is no word as to what will happen with Samoa Joe.
Joe did sit down interviews with talent at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver and has been doing an interview series on The Bump.
Virk previously worked for The Score in Canada and was at ESPN from 2010 until 2019. He was reportedly fired for leaking ESPN information to the media. He told the Washington Post in 2019 that he made a mistake and thought ESPN was making an example out of him.
Phillips has been part of the WWE Raw commentary team since January 2020 when he replaced Vic Joseph, who is now with NXT and 205 Live.
WWE has not made an official announcement regarding the change.
