The WWE United Kingdom show is still on it's way.
Zack Gibson has been wrestling for about nine years for promotions like Progress Wrestling, Insane Championship Wrestling, and Defiant Wrestling. He has also made appearance at Beyond Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. According to a report by Wrestling Observer, he has been signed by WWE to a deal involving the company's ventures into the United Kingdom. The report explicitly said he was not signed for NXT and WWE still has plans to do a show and open training facilities in the United Kingdom to foster the professional wrestling talent there.
The report also states WWE has a date for filming in December and has renewed the contract of wrestlers like Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, and Trent Seven. WWE has also instructed Gibson to not work for certain promotions on the independent scene because WWE is looking to partner with Progress Wrestling and Insane Championship Wrestling.
Gibson is currently one half of the Progress Tag Team Champions.
Last year WWE announced the United Kingdom Championship for which a tournament was created. Bate and Dunne have both held the championship despite not defending it often. Later in the year, reports were published about WWE attempting to start a United Kingdom based show.
