Report: WWE 'In Talks' With MLW About Potential Working Agreement

Could NXT talent appear on MLW?

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE is reportedly "in talks" with MLW about a potential working relationship. It's noted that the agreement would be similar to the prior deal between WWE and EVOLVE, which saw NXT talent appear on EVOLVE shows and WWE Network stream an EVOLVE event. WWE eventually purchased EVOLVE in July 2020.

The idea is reportedly to get guys who aren't currently working on NXT television some extra work.

Fightful Select reported in February that NXT had plans for a second show, which was tentatively titled NXT EVOLVE. Content for the show had reportedly already been filmed. Gabe Sapolsky and Jeremy Borash were reportedly both heavily involved in the production.

WWE has yet to mention anything regarding NXT EVOLVE and it is unknown if and when the new show will debut.

MLW airs its weekly Fusion program Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET on YouTube and other platforms. The company recently signed a deal with VICE TV with content set to premiere on Saturday, May 1.
