Things are growing closer...
In January of this year, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon announced that his failed football league from 2001 was going to be relaunched in the year 2020. That announcement from January was eleven months ago and there is only another year left until it is time for the XFL to start back up.
Yesterday, a notification was sent out by way of the official XFL Twitter account that on December 5th streaming live on the XFL website and on Twitter that league officials will reveal the eight cities and venues that will host teams for the 2020 season.
The wait is almost over! This coming Wednesday, Dec. 5, we unveil our eight cities and the venues we will play in for our inaugural season in 2020.

'Elite Sports NY' is reporting on their website that Metlife Stadium is the location that this announcement is happening at and Metlife is also the host of this year's WrestleMania spectacle. The site added that WWE Chairman and XFL founder Vince McMahon along with XFL commissioner Oliver Luck are expected to be in attendance. East Rutherford, New Jersey has been the home of an XFL team before as a part of the league's first run when the New York/New Jersey Hitmen were a team.
