At what has been the Lucha Libre promotion's second biggest event Verano de Escandalo, Jeff Jarrett was the surprise competitor in a triple threat match against Champion Dr Wagner Jr and Rey Mysterio Jr. In the match, Konnan appeared in a referee shirt and La Parka mask to help Jarrett pull off the victory. After the match, Fenix showed up and attacked Jarrett which is interesting because he has had a strained relationship with the company and recently announced he would be wrestling with rival promotion CMLL.
