AEW Dynamite (11/9/22) Results: Bryan Danielson vs. Sammy Guevara; Jon Moxley, MJF, And More Speak

The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) & The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn)

All of the competitors were on the floor and were wiped out when Dax Harwood Superplexed Austin Gunn from the top rope. Back in the ring, Dax Harwood locked in the Sharpshooter. Colten interrupted but ate a Big Rig. The match came to an end when Max hit The Mic Drop on Austin for the pinfall.

Winners: The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) by pinfall.

- MJF is shown talking on the pardon my take podcast. He says Full Gear is his moment.

- Stokley Hathaway accused Maxwell Jacob Friedman of dick riding Jon Moxley and says the worst crime you can commit is dick riding without a license.

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament: Eddie Kingston vs. Ethan Page

Eddie Kingston locks in the Stretch Plum, and Page taps, but Hathaway distracts the referee. Kingston stares down Stokely, Page eventually hits an Avalanche Ego’s Edge for the win.

Winner: Ethan Page by pinfall.

- Jose the Assistant says RUSH will win the AEW World Title, and Preston Vance will get the first title shot. RUSH tells Preston Vance to think the offer over.

- In the ring, Ari Daivari offers to give the services of JeeVeSK to Wardlow in exchange for the TNT Championship. Wardlow comes out accompanied by Samoa Joe.

TNT Championship: Wardlow (c) vs. Ari Daivari

Wardlow squashes Daivari. He hits him with a Lariat and Powerbombs him multiple times for the win.

Winner and still TNT Champion: Wardlow by pinfall.

- After the match, Wardlow calls out Will Hobbs. Hobbs arrives on the scene and says that they will fight on his time. Word low says he will eventually win every championship in AEW. This triggers Samoa Joe who attacks Wardlow from behind and chokes him out. Hobbs says he has no problem fighting both of them.

- Saraya and Britt Baker have a very passionate face-to-face promo where Saraya reveals that she's medically cleared and will face Baker at AEW Full Gear. Saraya lays Baker out with the move that used to be called RamPaige.

Trent Beretta vs. Jay Lethal

Jay Lethal begins the match by attacking Trent from ringside. Jay Lethal spends the match attacking the leg of Trent. He locks in a Figure Four Leg Lock but Trent is able to get out of it. Trent gets distracted by ringside activity from Best Friends and Lethal's squad. Jay Lethal wins with the Lethal Injection.

Winner: Jay Lethal

- After the match, Sonjay introduces Jeff Jarrett who challenges Staying and Darby Allin for Full Gear.

- Jon Moxley cuts a promo. Jon Moxley says he's met the devil and Maxwell Jacob Friedman is not the devil. Jon Moxley says he wants Max to be AEW Champion one day but this is only the beginning.

- A vignette spotlights The Elite and teases that they’ll be at AEW Full Gear.

Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue

Blue was accompanied by Toni Storm and she has a brief rally but Jamie Gets a quick win with The Ripcord Lariat.

Winner: Jamie Hayter by pinfall.

2 Out Of 3 Falls: Bryan Danielson vs. Sammy Guevara

Sammy Guevara quickly gives up the first fall by striking Bryan Danielson in the face with a steel chair. After the referee called for the first fall to end in a disqualification, Sammy Guevara continued to attack Bryan Danielson with a microphone leading to what will likely be the final commercial break of the night.

Back from commercial break and Bryan Danielson is shown to be busted open. Sammy Guevara dominates the fall and hits a running knee followed up by the GTH for the pinfall to tie up the match.

Bryan Danielson (1) vs. Sammy Guevara (1)

Sammy Guevara maintains control in the final fall, attempting to make Bryan Danielson tap out to a Crossface. Eventually, Bryan Danielson breaks free of the hold. Sammy Guevara tries to light him up with some chops but Danielson fires up and hits Sammy Guevara with a Knee+ as Guevarra tried to come off the top rope.

Continuing on, Sammy Guevara maintained control. He attempted another GTH but Bryan Danielson blocked it and hit a Poison Rana. Sammy Guevara locked in the Walls of Jericho but Bryan Danielson made it to the ropes. Eventually, Sammy went for the Swanton bomb but Bryan Danielson got his knees up and hit the hammer elbows from a crucifix position. Danielson would lock in the LeBell Lock but ultimately, he wins the match by transitioning into the Rings of Saturn.

Winner: Bryan Danielson by submission (2-1)
