AEW Dynamite 1/3/24

- Samoa Joe's post-match promo airs from this past Sunday.

- Adam Cole kicked off the show introducing his new faction, The Undisputed Kingdom. Adam Cole explains that MJF will never be back in AEW. Adam also says that Roderick Strong will set his sights on the AEW International Title. He also said that Wardlow will be targeting the AEW World Title. He also says that when the time is right Wardlow will forfeit the championship to him. Adam Cole is interrupted by Jay White. White says he's impressed by what Adam Cole was able to do, but he's not alone. Austin & Colten Gunn arrived on the scene and there was a brawl. Adam Cole hid behind the doctor because he was not cleared. The Acclaimed came out next and the Undisputed Kingdom bailed.

* AEW International Title: Orange Cassidy (c) def. Dante Martin

- After the match, Private Party returned as Marq Quen is back from injury and reunited with Isiah Kassidy.

- Renee Paquette interviews "Timeless" Toni Storm. Storm says she thought she was in New York but then realized she was in New Jersey so she is leaving and will not be watching Mariah May's debut.

- Renee Paquette interviews Swerve Strickland. Strickland sets his sights on Samoa Joe.

* Mariah May def. Queen Aminata

- Renee Paquette enters the ring to conduct an interview with Mariah May. May is overjoyed and says she has wanted to be a wrestler since she was a child. She expressed her hope that Toni Storm was pleased. May says that everything will be about her going forward but she is upset that her debut had to occur in New Jersey. This brings out the debuting Deonna Purrazzo. Purrazzo mentions that she is from New Jersey, saying that if Toni Storm doesn't want to be there, that's fine because they don't want her there. Purrazzo promises to track down Storm because she is now All Elite. Purrazzo floors May with a kick.

- Christian Cage comes to the ring with his patriarchy. He thanks both Mother and Nick Wayne. He does not thank Killswitch. Christian vows to never give Adam Copeland another chance at the championship and says that he will hold the title for however long he wants until he just hands it down to Nick Wayne to continue the family legacy.

- Renee Paquette interviews Ruby Soho, Saraya, and Harley Cameron. Ruby says she wasn't sure about Harley but thanks her for her help defeating Marina Shafir. Harley Cameron says she will do anything for both Ruby and Saraya and that she's completely committed to the role. Renee asks what's really going on and Cameron and Saraya scurry off.

* Konosuke Takeshita def. Darby Allin

- In a backstage interview with Renee, Don Callis issues a challenge for Darby Allin and Sting to meet Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs next week.

* Winner Earns AEW Continental Title Match On 1/6 AEW Collision: Trent Beretta def. Brian Cage, Bryan Keith, and El Hijo del Vikingo

- Backstage, Hangman Page resurfaces, interrupts Matt Menard's conversation with Renee Paquette, and declares that he has come to whip someone's ass.

* Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) def. Daniel Garcia

- When Garcia looks to shake Strickland's hand, a dancin' Nana punches Garcia in the balls. Strickland drops Matt Menard as he tries to make the save. Strickland is confronted by Hangman Page. They engage in a chaotic, show-closing brawl.
