AEW Dynamite (2/28/2024) Results: Sting's Last Dynamite, Will Ospreay Arrives, Hangman Page Speaks

AEW hosted its latest episode of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

This week's episode features Sting's final appearance on TBS as a wrestler, Will Ospreay arrives in AEW, and Orange Cassidy defends the AEW International Championship against Nick Wayne.

AEW Dynamite (2/28/2024) Results

- Hangman Page comes out to the ring on a crutch. He says that he's going to have to back out of the triple threat match on Sunday. Swerve interrupts him. Swerve says he didn't expect for this to happen and that he respects Hangman, but it's his destiny to win the World Championship. Samoa Joe comes out and says it doesn't matter, he's whipping both of their asses at Revolution. Swerve vows to win the gold. Hangman attacks him with his crutch. Hangman hasn't been injured at all.

* Blackpool Combat (Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli) def. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & Eddie Kingston

- A Chris Jericho in CMLL video package airs. Jericho cuts a promo with Renee Paquette. He reflected on his history with Atlantis and his early days in Mexico. He says that he will prove that he is the best.

- Will Ospreay comes out to a babyface reaction. He says he's here to pick up where he left off. He runs down his history in AEW, but he gets interrupted by Don Callis, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Konosuke Takeshita. Don Callis gets booed by the audience he Hypes up the match coming up between Takeshita and Ospreay. There is clear tension between the two opponents.

- Eddie Kingston is being interviewed by Renee Paquette when he is interrupted by Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. They tease him about the way he dresses and that he was talking crap about them.

* AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) def. Nick Wayne

- Matt Taven and Mike Bennett tried to come out during the match to distract Orange Cassidy but Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta came out to even the odds.

- Backstage, the Bang Bang Scissor Gang is asked about their group dynamics. Austin Gunn has an idea about teaming up with The Acclaimed. Jay White liked the idea.

* Skye Blue def. Kris Statlander

- Blue got some help from Julia Hart who hit Statlander with her TBS Championship.

- The Young Bucks continue looking for Sting and they barge into his locker room and find nothing but several baseball bats

“Lionheart” Chris Jericho def. Atlantis Jr.

- The Young Bucks come out to confront Sting and Darby Allin. Allin was in the crowd wearing a Sting mask and waiting for them. The Young Bucks eventually beat Darby with baseball bats. They call out Ric Flair. Ric Flair is going to help him. However, it's a swerve and he attacks the Young Bucks. The Young Bucks get the better of Ric Flair by giving him a shot to the balls. They beat him down. Sting eventually repels down from the rafters to save him.
