Exclusive: Jay White Thinks New Japan Pro Wrestling Could Sell Out Bigger Arenas In The United States

Jay White says New Japan could sell out bigger arenas.

On March 25th, New Japan Pro Wrestling has scheduled Strong Style Evolved which will take place in Long Beach, California. With the long time since the last visit by the promotion, tickets sold out very quickly. In an interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Jay White who will be performing at the event said he understands why NJPW played it safe with a smaller venue but sees bigger North American venues in the future.

"It's just one step at a time. I don't think they quite realized how popular New Japan is in the states. It's still 5,000 people, I can see why they are going for that. They'd rather sell out than take a big one in the end and have a bunch of empty seats. But these big arenas will come, I am sure the next one keeps going from there. This one sold out in record time. I think it shows they can definitely book bigger arenas and still sell out, especially with the guys on the show," said White.

On Sunday, Jay White will be defending his IWGP United States Championship against Bullet Club member Adam "Hangman" Page

Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for Strong Style Evolved.
