This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of IMPACT Wrestling on POP TV. Tonight we have a special show as it is Under Pressure where Pentagon Jr. defends his IMPACT World Championship against Austin Aries, Allie defends her Knockouts Championship against Su Yung and much more so be sure to come back here at 8pm EST for all of the action!
-We open the show with an extended video package for all of the matches on event before Eli Drake comes out for his match against Scott Steiner.
Eli Drake vs Scott Steiner
They lock up to start the match for a clean break twice before Scott catches Eli running the ropes and hits a belly to back suplex that sends Eli out onto the apron. Eli drops Scott with a clothesline before missing a jumping elbow drop, then Scott hits an elbow drop of his own before Eli rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Scott goes out after him, but Eli is ready and attacks him before Scott whips him into the railing. Eli sends Scott into the railing when Scott tries to drop him across the railing, then Scott kicks Eli in the midsection when he goes to hit him with a chair. Scott hits a Frankensteiner once they're back in the ring, then goes for the Steiner Recliner, but Eli counters before sending Scott into the referee.
Eli then hits Scott with a chair when he reaches out between the ropes to pull him back into the ring for the pin and the win.
Winner: Eli Drake defeats Scott Steiner via pinfall with a chair shot.
-We get a video package for Tessa Blanchard before her match against Madison Rayne.
Tessa Blanchard vs Madison Rayne
Madison hits a huricanrrana before getting a series of quick two counts, then Tessa comes back with a series of wrist lock clotheslines for a quick two count. Tessa slams Madison's face into the mat when she tries to come back with a series of forearms, then Madison fights her way out of a headlock before whipping her across the ring and hitting a series of running forearms. Madison hits a bridging suplex for a quick two count before Tessa hits an elevated flat liner for a near fall. Madison then rolls Tessa up out of nowhere for the pin and the win.
Winner: Madison Rayne defeats Tessa Blanchard via pinfall with a roll up.
Dezmond Xavier vs Brian Cage
They lock up to start the match before Brian sends Dezmond across the ring, then muscles out of a standing switch before Dezmond hits a series of shotgun dropkicks that sends Brian out of the ring and to the floor. Dezmond hits a dropkick off of the steps at ringside before Brian hits an F5 onto the apron, then rolls Dezmond back into the ring before hitting a running uppercut in the corner and tosses him across the ring. Brian counters a guillotine choke into a suplex before Dezmond drops him and sends him out of the ring with a series of kicks. Dezmond hits a twisting senton over the top rope and onto Brian onto the floor before Brian tosses him back into the ring through the middle rope. Dezmond then hits a slingshot meteora into a phoenix splash before Brian hits the Drill Claw for the pin and the win.
Winner: Brian Cage defeats Dezmond Xavier via pinfall with the Drill Claw.
Knockouts Championship Last Rites Match
Allie (c) vs Su Yung
Allie immediately drops Su with a series of clotheslines before suplexing her into the corner, then Su drags her over to the ropes and tries to roll her into the casket. Allie puts up a fight and Su opts to choke her before putting her in a body triangle and hyper extending her arm. Allie rolls out of the ring before they exchange strikes on the apron and hits a diving clothesline off of the apron as we go to commercial.
Su is in control as we come back from commercial, dropping Allie with several strikes before getting a chair and bringing it into the ring. Allie drops Su with a series of clotheslines before hitting a side Russian leg sweep before she can use the chair, then Allie tosses her the chair and hits a code breaker onto the chair. Allie rolls Su into the casket, but she stands up in it before Su sends Allie back into the ring with a thrust to the throat. Allie then superkicks Su into the casket, but her leg is sticking out of the side before she stands up and chokes Allie unconscious with a mandible claw before closing the lid for the win.
Winner: Su Yung defeats Allie and becomes the new Knockouts champion when she puts Allie in the casket and closes the lid.
-We get a match from the GWN between Sting and Abyss.
IMPACT World Championship Match
Pentagon Jr. (c) vs Austin Aries
Austin attacks Pentagon at ringside before the much can start, then Pentagon starts chopping Austin around ringside until he accidentally chops the ring post when Austin gets out of the way. They get in the ring and Austin locks in the Last Chancery, but Pentagon is quick to the ropes for the break before Austin beats on him in the corner and plays to the crowd. Pentagon comes back and goes to break his arm but Austin rolls out of the ring before hitting a missile dropkick. Pentagon starts focusing on the leg of Austin and kicks it repeatedly before Austin hits a neckbreaker and stomps on Pentagon's face. Austin hits a snapmare into an elbow drop to the back of his neck for a quick two count before they exchange strikes until Pentagon sends Austin out of the ring as we go to commercial.
Austin is in control as we come back from commercial, chopping Pentagon in the corner before Pentagon comes back with a series of rapid fire chops of his own and sends Austin out of the ring. Austin gets back in the ring and they exchange sling blades before Austin counters a package piledriver into a fall away slam. Pentagon catches Austin on the top before Austin claps his ears and sends him off of the top and to the mat before locking in the Last Chancery again. Pentagon is once again quick to the ropes for the break before he comes back with a backstabber for a near fall. They counter each other until Pentagon hits a Michinoku driver for a very close near fall, then they go out onto the apron where Austin hits a neckbreaker before locking in the Last Chancery on the floor.
They get back into the ring before Pentagon gets a near fall off of a roll up only for Austin to hit a DVD onto the apron before Pentagon hits a package piledriver onto the apron. Pentagon then rolls Austin back into the ring and they exchange words on the mic before Austin hits a brainbuster for the pin and the win.
Winner: Austin Aries defeats Pentagon Jr. via pinfall with a brainbuster to become the new IMPACT World champion.
