- We open the show with a recap of the ROH Tag Team championship match in which Jonathan Gresham and Jay Lethal retained against The Briscoes before we get a graphic for tonight’s main event featuring Jeff Cobb and Dan Maff against the champions in a Proving Grounds match where Maff and Cobb will get a future title shot if they defeat the champions in a non-title match.
20 Person Battle Royal Match
Delirious runs around ringside before Gangrel is first eliminated by Dak before Dak eliminates LSG next before eliminating both Eli Isom and Crowbar before he’s eliminated by Cheeseburger. The Bouncers squash Cheeseburger before Brian Johnson eliminates Blue Meanie and his own partner PJ Black before the lone woman in the match Maria Manic tosses him over the top rope for the elimination as we go to commercial.
We come back to the action to Maria eliminating both members of The Bouncers by herself before Maria and Silas exchange strikes until Bully Ray helps Silas eliminate Maria from ringside before hitting her with a chair before putting her through the announce table. Danhausen eliminates Delirious before Silas eliminates him and Cheeseburger before 2 Guys 1 Tag eliminate Tracy Williams and double up on Dragon Lee who is the only person beside the tag that is left in the match. Lee then eliminates Silas and Josh before Kenny King rushes in out of nowhere and tries to eliminate Lee. Lee then skins the cat and superkicks Kenny before taking his mask off and revealing that he is Flip Gordon before Flip eliminates Kenny and wins a future title shot.
Winner: Flip Gordon is the last man in the ring to earn a future shot at the ROH World championship.
- We come back to a backstage interview with Flip Gordon who says that he’s going to become the champion in 2020 before we go to highlights of a match between Sumie Sakai and Session Moth Martina in which Martina won via pinfall with the Jager Bomb as we go to commercial.
- We come back to a brief interview with Sumie Sakai who puts Quinn against the wall and tells her to shut up in Japanese.
Proving Grounds Match
Dan Maff & Jeff Cobb vs Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham
Jon and Jeff get things started off by grappling on the mat before Jeff literally throws Jon end over end into his own corner as we go to commercial.
We come back to Dan and Jay exchanging before Dan sends Jay across the ring and nearly out of it with a shoulder tackle before Jay and Jon regroup at ringside and Jon puts Dan in a standing side headlock before being knocked over with a shoulder block. Jay and Jon try to suplex Dan and get themselves suplexed before Jon rolls out of the ring and Jeff comes in and hits Jay with forearms before they run the ropes and Jeff dropkicks Jay before hitting a standing moonsault for two. Jeff chops Jay and hits him with forearms in the corner until he falls down onto the mat before Jon tries to drag Jay to the corner, but Jeff drags him in with him and Jay dropkicks Dan on the apron before Jon hits Jeff with a dragon screw. Jay gets the tag and starts focusing on the knee of Jeff before Jeff sends Jon out of the ring and Jay into the turnbuckle. Dan gets the tag, but the referee doesn’t see it before Jon mocks Jeff and gets hit with an overhead belly to belly and tags in Dan. Dan clotheslines Jay and hits a high angle back body drop as we go to commercial.
We come back to Jeff hitting a running uppercut in the corner into a cannonball by Dan before Jeff hits a suplex into an assisted senton by Dan for a near fall that Jon breaks up before Jay and Jon take out Dan and double up on Jeff for a near fall that Dan breaks up. Jay and Jon take out Dan at ringside before Jay teases Hail to the King and locks in a figure four as Dan gets back into the ring with Jon on his back before Dan slams Jon onto Jay to break up the submission. Dan then spears Jay before Jeff hits Jon with a running powerslam and Jay sends Jeff out of the ring with an enzuigiri before Dan counters the Lethal Injection and hits a burning hammer for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dan Maff and Jeff Cobb defeat Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham via pinfall to earn a future shot at their ROH World Tag Team championships.
