TNA IMPACT (2/29/2024) Results: Mustafa Ali's X-Division Title Ceremony, Steve Maclin vs Mike Bailey

TNA iMPACT! (2/29/2024)

  • The show kicked off with two graphics paying tributes to Ole Anderson & Mike "Virgil" Jones. After a video package recapping the events of TNA No Surrender, Tom Hannifan & Matt Rehwoldt welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening match.
  • Steve Maclin (w/ Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) def. Mike Bailey (w/ Trent Seven).
  • After the match, there was a video vignette of Nic Nemeth from Japan after he won the NJPW Global Championship. Nemeth challenged Maclin to a match at TNA Sacrifice, which Maclin accepted.
  • As Frankie Kazarian argued with security guards, Gia Miller informed Kazarian that Santino Marella suspended him after attacking a referee on TNA No Surrender. Kazarian obliged to leave but told Miller to ask Santino Marella if this was the right decision.
  • Jake Something def. Laredo Kid.
  • Alan Angels interviewed Kon in "The Sound Check", where Angels said that he was proud of Kon; however, Kon said that he follows no one and he goes wherever he wants to go before declaring that he was the baddest man in TNA. The segment was interrupted by PCO, who tossed Angels to the side as he & Kon brawled before the camera cut.
  • Rich Swann & Joe Hendry def. AJ Francis & Deaner.
  • DECAY (Rosemary & Havok) had a vignette, where they said that they were patient despite losing the TNA Knockout's Tag Titles, but had intentions of regaining the titles back.
  • After it was announced that Hammerstone had signed with TNA, Josh Alexander was interviewed backstage before Dirty Dango, Alpha Bravo & Oleg Prutius tried promoting their wrestling school and challenged anyone who had a year or less of experience. Alexander went to speak with Santino Marella to book a match.
  • With an introduction from John Skyler & Jason Hotch, the newly crowned TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali came to the ring to celebrate his title win at TNA No Surrender. Ali thanked the esteemed citizens of TNA and was about to make his first "executive order" as champion, but was interrupted by Chris Sabin. Sabin said that if Ali did not have The Good Hands by his side, he would still be a champion; however, Ali refuted by saying that Skyler & Hotch were there to support him, unlike how Sabin did not have any support on No Surrender. After Sabin punched Ali, Skyler & Hothc attacked Sabin before KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight made the save.
  • George Iceman & Ash By Elegance came to the ramp to announce that Ash would have her second match in TNA next week.
  • Mustafa Ali & The Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) cut a promo backstage, where Ali called out Chris Sabin, Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA and said that their actions in the Inauguration Ceremony would have consequences.
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship - #1 Contender's Match: Tasha Steelz vs. Xia Brookside Ended in a Count-Out.
    • After the match, Jordynne Grace to the ramp to tell them that they both would get a title shot in a Triple Threat Match on TNA Sacrifice.
  • Rhino cut a promo backstage, where he called out Crazzy Steve to a No Disqualification Match, where he promised to deliver Steve a GORE, GORE, GORE.
  • The System (Moose, Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) (w/ Alisha Edwards) def. Eric Young & Bullet Club's ABC (Chris Bey and Ace Austin).
