TNA IMPACT (4/25/2024) Results: Nic Nemeth vs Eddie Edwards, Matt Hardy Returns, Mike Santana, More

TNA iMPACT! (4/25/2024).

  • Tom Hannifan & Matt Rehwoldt welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening segment.
  • Nic Nemeth kicked off the show with a promo, where he was disappointed that he did not win the title at Rebellion. Nemeth then said that he felt broken inside but that led to “Broken” Matt Hardy interrupting. Hardy said that he hoped that Nemeth was the champion when he confronted the world champion in Rebellion. Hardy said he did not know what was next for Nemeth but he was coming for the World Title. The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & Alisha Edwards) made fun of Matt Hardy’s looks before Eddie Edwards said that Nemeth looked pathetic. Nemeth said his vision was clear and he needed to face Eddie Edwards tonight.
  • Mustafa Ali & Santino Marella hosted the #1 Contender Ballot Box to name a #1 Contender for the X-Division Title. After Jason Hotch & John Skyler made their votes, Jordynne Grace cast her vote and asked Marella if she could speak to him alone.
  • Gia Miller interviewed Jordynne Grave backstage, where she revealed that she would defend her TNA World Knockouts Title against Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling's Miyu Yamashita next week. Yamashita interrupted and said she would take the title off Grace.
  • Mike Santana def. Myron Reed (w/ Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) via Pinfall (Discus Lariat).
    • Steve Maclin appeared on the ramp after the match. Maclin & The Rascalz surrounded the ring, but the Rascalz left Maclin alone. Maclin & Santana brawled before Santana went for the Discus Lariat, but Maclin left the ring.
  • Steph DeLander & Kon cut a promo backstage, where they challenged PCO & Jordynne Grace for TNA Under Siege after the events of TNA Rebellion.
  • Josh Alexander cut a promo in the ring, saying he wanted to be called a World Champion once again; however, Frankie Kazarian interrupted to say that he was the only one with an argument to challenge for Moose's World Title. Alexander challenged Kazarian to a match tonight, but Kazarian said it did not work for him. As Kazarian was leaving the ring, a referee confronted Kazarian to inform him that the match was made official for right now.
  • Josh Alexander def. Frankie Kazarian via Submission (Ankle Lock).
  • Jake Something was speaking with Santino Marella as Cody Deaner cast his vote for the Ballot Box Battle. Alex Hammerstone confronted Marella and demanded a chat with him, but Something told Hammerstone to have some respect. Hammerstone & Something got into a shoving battle, which led to Marella booking Something vs Hammerstone for TNA Under Siege.
  • Gia Miller Interviewed Top Flight (Rich Swann & AJ Francis) & legendary rapper Bun B. Regarding the TNA Rebellion, Swann said that everyone saw him whoop Joe Hendry's ass and said that he was pretty sure that Hendry learned his lesson. Joe Hendry interrupted by saying he was here to fight because he suffered a groin injury. Hendry said that he would win the right way next week.
  • Xia Brookside def. Ash By Elegance (w/ George Iceman) via Pinfall (Schoolboy Roll-Up).
  • Santino Marella & Mustafa Ali reunited the locker room backstage to count the winner of the Battle Box, where he said that the winner of the Ballor Box Battle was Trey Miguel by a "suspiciously large margin". Leon Slater called Miguel rigging the votes before Marella revealed that the person with the 2nd most votes was Ace Austin. Mustafa Ali called this situation a case of voter fraud before Marella declared that Ace Austin would face Trey Miguel in a #1 Contender's Match for the X-Division Title next week.
  • 2-On-1 Handicap Match: Sami Callihan def. Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) via Pinfall (Cactus Driver 97).
  • Steve Maclin met with Frankie Kazarian for a proposition to solve their issues with Eric Young, Josh Alexander & Mike Santana. Maclin said he could help Kazarian with Alexander & Young while Kazarian could help him with Santana.
  • Eddie Edwards (w. Alisha Edwards & Brian Myers) def. Nic Nemeth via Pinfall (Boston Knee Party).
    • Ryan Nemeth was in the crowd watching the match.
    • The finish of the match came when Moose attacked Nic Nemeth with his TNA World Title, leading Edwards to hit the Boston Knee Party for the win.
    • After the match, The System put a chair on Nemeth's neck before swinging a chair onto the neck. Mike Bailey, Trent Seven & Ryan Nemeth came to the ring after the match, but The System left the ring and stood victorious on the ramp to end the broadcast.
