Hey Fight Fans, it's time for a special edition of 205 Live headlined by a non-title match between the NXT Cruiserweight champion Lio Rush and Raul Mendoza!
Mansoor vs The Brian Kendrick
They go back and forth until Mansoor hits a huricanrrana into a dropkick before Brian snaps his arm in the ropes and drags him out of the ring before wrapping his arm around the railing and kicking it. Mansoor gets back into the ring and Brian hits a Russian leg sweep before driving his knee into his hand and wrist before Brian plays to the crowd and wraps his arm around the rope. Brian kicks the hand of Mansoor before locking in a straight armbar and Mansoor comes back with chops with his good arm before clotheslining him and dropping Brian with an enzuigiri. Mansoor hits a falcon arrow for a two count before Mansoor counters a shiranui into a DVD for a near fall before Brian hits a half suplex and Brian hits a powerslam. Mansoor then rolls through and pins Brian with a small package out of nowhere for the pin and the win.
Winner: Mansoor defeats The Brian Kendrick via pinfall.
NXT Cruiserweight Championship Number One Contender Match
Tony Nese vs Angel Garza
Angel and Tony grab each other's hair before Angel takes Tony down and they grapple on the mat until they make their way back to their feet. They run the ropes until Angel hits a huricanrrana and the two exchange chops and Angel takes down Tony before hitting him with right hands in mount. Angel counters a sunset powerbomb before hitting a missile dropkick when Tony falls off off the top turnbuckle after Tony rips his pants off by accident as we go to commercial.
Angel sends Tony out of the ring and hits a wrecking ball before hitting a moonsault to ringside and rolling Tony into the ring before hitting a butterfly backbreaker for a two count. Tony hits a pump handle falcon arrow for a near fall before Angel hits a lung blower and Tony knocks him off off the top turnbuckle and onto the apron. Tony sweeps the legs of Angel and hits a tornado DDT onto the floor before rolling him back into the ring and hitting a 450 for a near fall, Angel getting his foot on the bottom rope. Angel then superkicks Tony before they chop each other and Angel hits a rebound sit-out powerbomb for a near fall before superkicking Tony and hitting the Wing Clipper for the pin and the win.
Winner: Angel Garza defeats Tony Nese via pinfall with the Wing Clipper to become the new number one contender for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
-We get a video package for Danny Burch who will be joining the Cruiserweight division as a singles competitor on 205 Live before we get a recap of the NXT Invasion the past several weeks.
Lio Rush vs Raul Mendoza
They rush each other before Raul sends Lio out of the ring and hits a flipping senton before tossing him back into the ring and hitting a missile dropkick into a neckbreaker and a springboard moonsault for a two count. They dodge each other until Lio hits an enzuigiri and Raul hits one of his own for a two count before he rolls and stretches Lio around the ring. They exchange standing switches until Lio comes back with clotheslines and a hand spring back elbow into a hand spring kick and a suicide dive before tossing Raul back into the ring and hitting a rebound cutter for a near fall. Lio then kicks Raul in the chest before Raul hits a falcon arrow for a near fall and Lio rocks him with kicks and a spinning unprettier for the pin and the win.
Winner: Lio Rush defeats Raul Mendoza via pinfall with a spinning unprettier.
