Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage of tonight's edition of WWE NXT from Full Sail Live in Orlando, Florida featuring a number one contender match for Adam Cole's NXT Championship!
-We open the show with Undisputed Era on a balcony, holding their gold.
Keith Lee vs Dominik Dijakovic
They counter each other before Keith hits a running cross body before they try to suplex each other and Keith rocks Dom with a forearm on the apron. Dom then choke slams Keith onto the apron as we go to commercial.
Keith nearly knocks Dom out with a forearm and hits a spinebuster before he knocks Dom off of the apron and hits a slingshot cross body before they exchange strikes and Keith drops Dom with a headbutt. Dom hits an avalanche Canadian destroyer to Keith for a near fall before he follows up with a moonsault for a near fall and Keith hits a jack hammer for the pin and the win.
Winner: Keith Lee defeats Dominik Dijakovic via pinfall with a jack hammer.
-The NXT Women's Championship match between Shayna Baszler and Candice LeRae is announced for next week's show.
Dakota Kai vs Taynara
Taynara goes after Kai and kicks Dakota off of the top for a quick two count before hitting a hip toss into a back kick for another quick two count. Kai comes back with strikes and kicks Taynara before hitting a helluva kick into a variation of the GTS for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dakota Kai defeats Taynara via pinfall with a GTS.
-It's announced that KUSHIDA will need two partners to face Imperium on hour two of NXT on the WWE Network as we go to commercial.
-The NXT Tag Team Championship Rematch is announced for next week's show.
NXT Championship Number One Contender Street Fight Match
Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain
Dain rocks Matt with forearms before Matt takes Dain down with a double leg and goes for an armbar before Dain rolls him up for a quick two count. Matt hits a Pele kick into a dead lift German suplex for a two count before he hits a flying forearm off of the steps as we go to commercial.
Dain is in control as we return to the action in the ring until Matt hits a Final Flash into several running forearms and an exploder suplex into a running senton and a PK for a near fall. Dain catches Matt up top and Matt hits a victory roll for a two count before hitting a bicycle knee and Dain slams him down before hitting a senton into a powerbomb and an elbow drop for a near fall. Matt counters a piledriver into an Alabama slam and a corkscrew senton for a near fall before Dain sends him out of the ring and hits a suicide dive before Dain hits Matt with a chair. They make their way backstage before Matt hits Kawada kicks and Dain rakes his eyes before rocking Matt hits a headbutt and hitting a running cross body through a wall as we go to commercial.
Matt puts Dain through a table before they make their way back to the ring and once they're in the ring Matt hits a slingshot elbow drop for a two count before he grabs a chair and Dain hits a running cross body. Dain hits several Vader bombs for a near fall before he throws a chair on Matt and hits him with a kendo stick before he sets the chair on Matt and Matt catches him on the top turnbuckle. Matt then hits a powerbomb into Final Flash with the chair for a near fall before he beats on Dain in mount before he goes for a Fujiwara armbar and forces Dain to tap for the win.
Winner: Matt Riddle defeats Killian Dain via submission with a Fujiwara armbar to gain a shot at Adam Cole's NXT Championship.
-After the match Adam Cole comes out to the ring and mocks Matt before Matt puts him in an armbar and Matt runs away when the rest of Undisputed Era come to save him.
Rhea Ripley vs Kayden Carter
Carter rushes Rhea with a running dropkick before Rhea beats her down in the corner and hits a delayed suplex for a near fall before Carter rolls her up for a quick two count. Carter then hits a huricanrrana and a springboard arm drag into a huricanrrana before Rhea hits the Riptide for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rhea Ripley defeats Kayden Carter via pinfall with the Riptide.
Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs Local Team
Oney exchanges wrist locks with Matt before he drags him to his corner and Danny comes in and Matt tags in Chase who is immediately put in a headlock by Danny and taken down to the mat. Danny takes out both of the Spades and he and Oney hit a double side Russian leg sweep before Chase hits a float over snap suplex for a quick two count and Matt hits Oney with a backbreaker for a two count of his own. The Spades isolate Oney in their half of the ring and chain together offense until he gets the tag to Danny and nearly falls out of the ring. Danny takes out both spades with running moves in the corner and hits a missile dropkick before Oney and Danny hit their finisher for the pin and the win.
Winner: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch defeat a local team via pinfall.
-We get a glimpse of Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green in the crowd before we see KUSHIDA backstage as we go to commercial.
Cameron Grimes vs Raul Mendoza
Cameron goes for a meteora, but Raul ducks and they exchange wrist locks and pin attempts until Raul hits a huricanrrana and a springboard bulldog into a headlock. Cameron gets to his feet and they run the ropes until Cameron hits a Spanish fly for a near fall and finishes with a meteora for the pin and whips Raul into the corner before he locks in a straight armbar. Raul hits a leg lariat before he rocks Cameron with strikes and an enzuigiri into a springboard missile dropkick before he catches Cameron on the top turnbuckle and hits a frankensteiner for a near fall. Cameron then hits a jumping stomp for the pin and the win out of nowhere.
Winner:Cameron Grimes defeats Raul Mendoza via pinfall with a jumping stomp.
-We see Imperium getting ready for their six man tag team match as we go to commercial.
KUSHIDA & Breezango vs Imperium (Alexander Wolfe, Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel)
KUSHIDA kicks things off with Fabian who beats him down in the corner and stomps him before KUSHIDA hits a cartwheel dropkick and Wolfe hits a bridging German suplex for a two count. Fandango comes in and dropkicks Wolfe before he hangs him out to dry and Tyler superkicks him before hitting a leg drop. Wolfe drives Breeze into his corner and gets tossed out of the ring before Marcel hits a running uppercut at ringside and rolls Tyler back into the ring. Wolfe takes Tyler down to the mat and chokes him with an arm triangle before hitting a backbreaker for a two count. Imperium hit a double running dropkick and Fabian drops Tyler with a boot before choking him with the bottom rope, Marcel locking in a cravat before hitting a rolling senton. Imperium clear the other corner and keep Tyler from making the tag before Dango drops Marcel from the apron and hits a tornado DDT to Fabian before hitting a flipping senton to the outside. KUSHIDA then tags himself in and hits a rolling DDT before locking in an armbar and everyone spills out of the ring before KUSHIDA knocks the Aichner and Wolfe from the apron and wins with a pharaoh pin.
Winner:KUSHIDA and Breezango defeat Imperium via pinfall.
-After the match WALTER comes out and lays KUSHIDA out on the ramp as we go off the air.
