This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT. Tonight we begin the 2018 Dusty Classic Tag Team Tournament when Authors of Pain face TM61 as well as Killian Dain taking on Aleister Black so be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST for all of the action!
Dusty Classic Quarter Final Match
Authors of Pain vs TM61
Rezar starts the match off before TM61 double team him and send him out of the ring before Shane hits a tope to the outside and takes both of AOP out. They get back in the ring and Nick gets a quick two count before hitting Rezar with a series of strikes only for him to pick him up and slam him into his corner and tag Akam in as we go to commercial.
Akam is in control of Nick as we come back from commercial before Nick hits a tornado DDT and tags Shane in just as Rezar gets the tag on the other side. Shane hits a lariat into a dropkick, then a corner dropkick before hitting a cannonball, then hits a suplex side slam for a near fall. Rezar turns Shane inside out with a boot before tagging Akam back in and they hit a powerbomb neckbreaker for a very close near fall that Nick breaks up. TM61 send Akam out of the ring only for AOP to come back and take them out before finishing with the Last Chapter for the pin and the win.
Winner: Authors of Pain defeat TM61 via pinfall with The Last Chapter to advance to the next round of the Dusty Classic Tag Team Tournament.
Bianca Belair has a squash match where she hits a series of suplexes and a fall away powerbomb for the win in less than two minutes to start the show. Tommaso Ciampa then comes out to the ring as the fans heckle him and say they want Johnny before he starts to get on the mic, but opts to say nothing and leave as we go to commercial.
Aleister Black vs Killian Dain
Dain immediately hits a shotgun dropkick to start the match for a quick two count before Dain starts beating on Aleister in the corner and hitting a running splash in opposite corners. Aleister comes back with a series of kicks that send Dain outside before hitting a triangle moonsault off of the top and onto Dain on the floor as we go to commercial.
Aleister is briefly in control as we come back from commercial until Dain hits a running cross body for a quick two count, then proceeds to stomp Aleister into the corner while playing to the crowd and motioning that he'll be champion next. Dain starts focusing on the arm of Aleister until Aleister fights out of a rear chin lock and comes back with a series of strikes. Aleister hits an Asai moonsault for a quick two count before Dain catches him in midair with a clothesline for a near fall. Dain hits a unique move before hitting a forward slam into a senton and a splash off of the top for a very close near fall. Aleister then tries to get the pin off of a sunset flip before hitting the Black Mass for the pin and the win.
Winner: Aleister Black defeats Killian Dain via pinfall with the Black Mass.
