This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT. Tonight we continue the Dusty Classic as we have two semi-final matches when Authors of Pain take on Street Profits and Roderick Strong & Pete Dunne take on SANITY. We also have a special announcement from William Regal and Aleister Black answers Andrade Almas and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM for an hour showcasing the WWE NXT brand!
-We open the show with Tommaso Ciampa talking to William Regal before Regal makes an unsanctioned match between the two of them. We then have Regal come out to the ring and announce the creation of the WWE North American Championship at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans before he's interrupted by EC3. EC3 talks about his career before Regal announces that EC3 will be in a ladder match against five other wrestlers at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
Dusty Classic Semi-Final Match
Authors of Pain vs Street Profits
Angelo and Rezar start the match, Rezar overpowering and beating him down before Akam comes in and the two start tagging in and out and keeping Dawkins isolated until he hits a pop-up spinebuster. AOP then hit the Last Chapter when Angelo gets distracted by Ford and Paul arguing at ringside for the pin and the win.
Winner: Authors of Pain defeat Street Profits via pinfall when they hit Dawkins with The Last Chapter to advance to the finals of the Dusty Classic.
-Lars Sullivan has a squash match against local talent after we have William announcing that Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream will be a part of the WWE North American Championship Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
-Dakota Kai comes out for her match before we cut to Almas attacking Black in the parking lot as they make their way into the arena and into the ring. Almas then assaults Black with a chair before leaving as we go to commercial.
Dusty Classic Semi-Final Match
SANITY vs Roderick Strong & Pete Dunne
Wolfe and Strong go back and forth to start the match before Pete and Eric tag in and lock up for a clean break. Pete gets a quick two count off of a roll up before kicking Eric's arm , then Wolfe gets a blind tag and he and Eric start tagging in and out and beating on Pete as Roderick looks on as we go to commercial.
SANITY is in control as we come back from commercial until Pete drops Eric with a forearm and tags Strong in before the two start double teaming him for a near fall. Pete goes for a double wrist lock submission, but Eric powers out of it into a suplex before Wolfe and Strong are tagged in. They brawl and exchange strikes until Wolfe hits a German suplex into a DVD for a very close near fall. SANITY hit a double team move for a near fall that Pete breaks up before everyone hits a move and Eric hits a high angle elbow drop for another near fall. Roderick hits a backbreaker for a near fall that Wolfe breaks up before Strong takes out Wolfe with The End of Heartache and Pete hits Eric with the Bitter End for the pin and the win.
Winner: Roderick Strong & Pete Dunne defeat saniry via pinfall when Pete pins Eric with the Bitter End to advance to the finals of Dusty Classic.
-We go off the air with it being revealed that Ricochet will be the final participant in the WWE North American Championship Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
