Hey Fight Fans, good evening, we hope you had a great day and are ready for tonight's edition of WWE NXT headlined by the final match in the rivalry between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa!
- We open the show with a video package for tonight's main event narrated by Triple H before we go to the ring which has a briefcase hanging over the ring with a ladder in the ring for the Women's Championship Number One Contender Ladder Match.
NXT Women's Championship Number One Contender Ladder Match
Everyone brawls before pairing off in a separate corner before Io is sent out of the ring and Dakota cleans house. Raquel tries to bring a ladder into the ring, but Candice hits a baseball slide before Candice and Tegan attack Kai. Everyone except Candice then spill to the outside before Io and Candice climb opposite sides of a ladder before Chelsea comes back in and lays Io and Candice out as we go to commercial.
We come back to Mia and Chelsea on the outside with Tegan and Dakota in the ring, the two exchanging running moves in the corner before Dakota and Tegan climb opposite sides of the ladder. Dakota sends Candice into the post when she pulls her down before Mia and Io pull Tegan and Dakota down and everyone takes turns climbing the ladder before being pulled down. Io then climbs to the top and takes everyone out at ringside as we go to commercial.
We return to Raquel running interference for Dakota before Mia and Tegan team up to put Raquel through a table. Kai knocks Nox off of the top rope and she falls off and through a ladder set up on the barricade and the apron. Io sends Kai out of the ring and hits Candice with a German suplex before they roll out of the ring and Chelsea crawls into the ring. Chelsea is unable to climb the ladder and Robert gets into the ring and climbs the opposite side of the ladder to help her up. Candice and Io shove the ladder over and send them crashing to the outside before setting it up and climbing opposite sides. Io then shoves Candice off of the top of the ladder and onto a ladder wedged in the corner before grabbing the briefcase and winning the match.
Winner: Io Shirai wins the match by climbing the ladder end grabbing the briefcase, thus earning a shot at Charlotte Flair's NXT Women's Championship.
- After the match we get a recap of Imperium taking out Finn Bálor before we get a graphic for Finn and his current situation with NXT UK champion WALTER up next as we go to commercial.
- We return to a video recapping Finn Bálor's match against Alexander Wolfe in NXT UK in which Finn came out with the victory even after the rest of Imperium interfered. We then go to a promo by Finn who says that WALTER's title reign is on borrowed time. We then go to a recap of Bivens Enterprises taking out Matt Riddle and setting their sights on the tag titles before it's announced that Saurav Gurjar and Rinku Singh, now known as Indus Sher will make their in-ring debuts up next as we go to commercial.
Indus Sher vs Ever-Rise
Singh and Martel start the match off, Singh shoving him away when he tries to lock up before Parker gets the tag and Ever-Rise double up on Singh for barely a one count that launches Parker into the air. Gurjar comes in and IS take out Parker before dragging him to the corner and knocking Martel off of the apron. Rinku then sends Parker into Saurav who drops him with a boot before Saurav hits a backbreaker and Rinku hits a diving elbow for the pin and the win.
Winner: Indus Sher defeat Ever-Rise via pinfall.
- After the match we go to a promo by NXT champion Adam Cole from earlier today before we get a graphic for a recap of Charlotte defeating Rhea Ripley to become the NXT Women's champion as we go to commercial.
- We come back to a recap of the NXT Women's Championship match from Wrestlemania before we get post match interviews with Charlotte and Rhea before we go to a graphic for our main event.
Tommaso Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano
Johnny pulls up in a car before Candice meets him and hands him something before driving off before Johnny heads into the arena with Triple H in an empty ring in an empty arena except for Tommaso Ciampa. Triple H tells them that he doesn't care what they do, but when it's over, it's over. They then get into the ring and Ciampa kicks a chair away before they exchange strikes and they counter other move for move, Johnny getting caught in midair when he goes for a slingshot spear as we go to commercial.
We come back Ciampa in control of Johnny until Johnny drags Ciampa and wraps his legs around the post before Johnny beats on Ciampa at ringside. Ciampa counters a suplex and suplexes Johnny into the post before Johnny comes back with a suicide dive and mocks Ciampa before sending him into a pile of stuff at the side of the arena. Johnny hits Ciampa with a trash can lid and the trash can itself before tossing him back into the ring and driving a chair into him. Johnny sits in the chair and admires what he's done to his former best friend before hitting him with the chair and wedging it into the corner. Ciampa then sends Johnny into the chair head first as we go to commercial.
We come back to Ciampa in control with Johnny crawling around on the ground at ringside before putting the chair around his neck and sending him throat first into post. Ciampa stomps Johnny and screams for him to quit before driving his crutch into his throat and kicking him in the spine. Johnny sprays Ciampa with a fire extinguisher before Ciampa puts him through the a table at ringside. Ciampa takes wire cutters and cuts off a piece of rope from the apron before ripping up the mat, and padding, exposing the wood underneath. They end up outside where Johnny sends Ciampa into the side of a production truck before they climb on top of it.
They then exchange on top of the semi until Johnny locks in the Gargano Escape and they exchange kicks until collapsing to their knees as we go to commercial.
We come back to them back in the arena before Johnny dives off of a structure and puts Ciampa through a table before putting him back into the ring and stomping him in the corner. Johnny sets Tommaso on the top turnbuckle before Ciampa counters a superplex and hits an air raid crash off of the top rope and down onto the floor. Tommaso then rolls Johnny back into the ring and covers him for two before as we go to commercial.
We come back to Tommaso getting back into the ring into the ring with his crutch before Johnny wears a trash can lid out on him until it's bent and twisted. Johnny uses the crutch to stand up and superkicks Tommaso several times before calling Ciampa a failure. Ciampa then ducks a shot with the crutch by Johnny before breaking it over his back as the official checks on Johnny as we go to commercial.
We return to Ciampa choking Johnny with his crutch before accidentally taking out the official and Johnny sends him out of the ring. Johnny tosses Ciampa back into the ring before Ciampa hits the Willow's Bell onto the exposed wood before Ciampa grabs a piece of his broken crutches and Johnny superkicks him. Johnny tries to hit Ciampa with the rest of the crutch before they hit and drop each other as Candice comes into the arena and ring. Candice pleads for them to stop before Johnny grabs her wrist and she kicks Johnny low before leaving. Ciampa kneels next to Johnny before they both get to their knees and Ciampa starts to get up before Candice kicks Tommaso low and Johnny reveals he was wearing a cup and that they were in on it together.
Johnny then hits Tommaso with the Fairy Tale Ending for the pin and the win.
Winner: Johnny Gargano defeats Tommaso Ciampa via pinfall.
- After the match Candice helps Johnny out of the ring and the arena before they get into the car and leave as we go off the air.
