Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for today's edition of WWE NXT UK!
- We open tonight's show with a video package for our NXT UK Championship main event.
Ed Harvey vs Joe Coffey
Joe locks in a standing side headlock before they get to knock each other over and Ed hits a scoop slam before missing an elbow drop. Joe drops Ed and clotheslines him over the top rope and down onto the floor before Ed gets on the mic and says that he's Shaw Samuels. Back in the ring Ed/Shaw hits a spine buster into a back drop into an elbow drop for two before Joe gets two off of a roll up. Shaw hits a PK to the spine before locking in a rear chin lock and Joe comes back with a back drop before hitting a flying shoulder block. Joe hits a belly to belly for two before rocking Shaw with strikes and Shaw catches him coming off of the second rope into a powerslam for a near fall.
Shaw then locks in a sleeper before Joe hits a diving cross body for two and the Glasgow Send-off into All the Best for the Bells for the pin and the win.
Winner: Joe Coffey defeats Ed Harvey (Shaw Samuels) via pinfall.
- We get a graphic for the face off between the NXT UK champion champion Kay Lee Ray and the challenger for her title Jinny ahead of their match next week.
- Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala announces a four way number one contender match for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship in two weeks time as we go to commercial.
- We come back to Rampage and Dave Mastiff training in the gym where Dave challenges Rampage to a match.
Tyler Bate vs Sam Gradwell
Sam takes Tyler down onto the mat before they exchange wrist locks and Tyler flips Sam before rocking him for two off of a roll up. Tyler takes Sam down with a straight armbar before Sam grabs Tyler's nose and hits a scoop slam before stomping Tyler. Tyler comes back with leg kicks and a bop and a bang into a diving uppercut before hitting a t-bone suplex into a standing shooting star press. Tyler then hits the Tyler Driver '97 for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tyler Bate defeats Sam Gradwell via pinfall.
- Earlier this week Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter are interviewed at the PC before Sid Scala tells them that they'll be in the NXT UK Tag Team Championship Number One Contender Fatal Four Way match as we go to commercial.
- We come back to Ilja Dragunov giving Jack Starz advice before David tells Ilja he can beat WALTER in a rematch.
- We go back to the ring as Jinny and Joseph Conners come out to the ring where Jinny says that she's going to become the new NXT UK Women's champion before the champion Kay Lee Ray makes her way out to the ring. KLR mocks Jinny and says that she's beaten everyone who's been put in front of her before Jinny says that she hasn't beaten her.
- We get a video package promo for The Hunt and Eddie Dennis as we go to commercial.
NXT UK Championship Match
WALTER (c) vs A-Kid
A avoids WALTER early before WALTER backs A into the ropes and A kicks the knee of WALTER before WALTER takes him down. A dodges a chop and kicks WALTER in the chest before chopping him and WALTER takes A down with a side headlock take over. A comes back with a flurry of kicks and locks in a half crab before kicking him in the face and hitting a shotgun dropkick. WALTER drops A with a knife edge and locks in a Boston crab before transitioning to an STF before hitting a scoop slam. A kicks the leg of WALTER before WALTER drops him with a boot for two before locking in a rear chin lock and the two exchange chops.
WALTER wins the exchange and traps A in the ropes before A hits a dragon screw and a springboard missile dropkick. A kicks WALTER in the spine repeatedly before WALTER drops him with a swatting chop before A counters a powerbomb. WALTER hits a running single leg dropkick that turns A inside out before hitting a powerbomb for a near fall before dropping A with a knife edge chop. A takes WALTER down and transitions from one submission attempt to another before WALTER rolls out of the ring with A still holding on. WALTER powerbombs A onto the apron to get free before A counters a sleeper and WALTER turns him inside out.
WALTER then chops A in the back of the neck before hitting him with a lariat for the pin and the win.
Winner: WALTER retains his NXT UK Championship by defeating A-Kid via pinfall.
