Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for today's edition of WWE NXT UK!
Nathan Frazer vs Ashton Smith
The two start off with Nathan dropping Ashton repeatedly before hitting a side headlock take over and Ashton hits a fireman's carry take over of his own. Ashton clotheslines Nathan when he rushes Ashton before locking in a body scissors and Nathan leans back for several two counts before hitting a basement dropkick. Nathan hits a springboard cross body before Ashton catches him and hits a jack hammer for two before Ashton ducks a clothesline and hits a shotgun dropkick. Nathan hits a coast to coast dropkick for two before going up top and missing a diving senton before Ashton hits a blue thunderbomb for a near fall. Ashton then hits a diving frog splash for the pin and the win.
Winner: Nathan Frazer defeats Ashton Smith via pinfall.
- Backstage Ilja Dragunov apologizes for his actions as of late before Sam Gradwell shows up and mocks him before listing off all of the ways he can beat him in a match. Ilja then agrees to face Sam in a No Disqualification Match.
- We get a video package for Isla Dawn who is using witch craft to see into the future.
- We get a graphic for NXT UK: Prelude for April 8th.
- We get a taped message by NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint who announces that Noam Dar will face Tyler Bate in a number one contender's match with the winner facing A-Kid.
- We get a video package for Trent Seven losing weight and training for his NXT Cruiserweight Championship match in our main event.
Dani Luna vs Meiko Satomura
Meiko kicks Dani in the leg before Dani takes Meiko down repeatedly and they have a test of strength that Meiko wins before taking Dani down. Meiko hits an elbow drop into a standing side headlock before punching and kicking her in the corner and Dani hits a suplex into a fall away slam. Meiko comes back with a wheel kick before Dani hits a suplex from the apron before Dani clotheslines Meiko for two and Meiko hits a bicycle kick. Meiko then finishes Dani with Scorpio Rising for the pin and the win.
Winner: Meiko Satomura defeats Dani Luna via pinfall.
- We get a taped promo by Jinny and Joseph Conners where they say that that match is null and void in their opinion before Joseph says that it's time for him and Jack to have a match as we go to commercial.
- NXT UK champion WALTER comes out to the ring and says that he's here to ask Johnny Saint to look the world over and find him a worthy challenger before he's interrupted by Rampage Brown. Rampage gets into the ring and says that he's ready whenever WALTER is before Rampage shoves him down when he tries to walk passed him before WALTER leaves up the ramp.
- We go to Xia Brookside and Nina Samuels as Nina is still Xia's assistant for a month before we get a graphic for our main event as we go to commercial.
- Ilja versus Sam Gradwell is made official for next week as well as WALTER and Rampage for the NXT UK title for Prelude in three weeks time.
NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match
Jordan Devlin (c) vs Trent Seven
Trent goes right after Jordan and chops him before sending him over the top rope and down onto the floor before smashing his face into the steps. Trent chops Jordan around ringside before Jordan knocks him off of the apron and Trent hits a snap dragon onto the floor. Back in the ring Trent beats Jordan down in the corner before they exchange chops in the corner and Trent drops Jordan before hitting a running leg drop. Jordan hits a uranage into a standing moonsault for two before hitting a backbreaker and kicking Trent in the spine before bending him around the post. Jordan back drops Trent onto the apron before getting back inside and locking in a rear chin lock before chopping Trent in the corner.
Trent comes back with a flurry of strikes before Jordan clotheslines him for two before Trent comes back with a DDT and an Emerald Flowsion for a near fall. Trent clotheslines Jordan over the top rope and sends him into the barricade before tossing him back inside and missing a corkscrew senton. Jordan locks in the Four Leaf Clover before Trent gets to the ropes for the break and gets a near fall off of an inside cradle before locking in a half crab. Jordan gets to the ropes and headbutts Trent before Trent rocks him with chops and counters Devlinside into the Seven Star Lariat for a near fall. Jordan counters the Birminghammer into an Emerald Flowsion for a near fall of his own before Trent catches Jordan up top.
Trent hits an avalanche dragon suplex into the Birminghammer for a very close near fall as Jordan gets his foot under the bottom rope. Jordan then thumbs Trent in the eyes when the referee is trying to separate them before hitting Devlinside for a very close near fall before hitting a 450 across the back of Trent for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jordan Devlin retains his NXT Cruiserweight Championship by defeating Trent Seven via pinfall.
