WWE hosted its latest episode of Monday Night Raw on January 8, 2024. The episode featured CM Punk's first WWE Raw appearance of 2024.

Also. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven try to win back the WWE Women's Tag Titles from Kayden Carter & Katana Chance. Plus, Cody Rhodes will step into the ring with Shinsuke Nakamura once again as their stories continue to intertwine.

WWE Raw (1/8/24) Results

Drew McIntyre kicked off the show by addressing the main event of last week's episode. He teases leaving WWE, but then says he thought the better of it. He questions why Damian Priest attempted to cash in his WWE Money in the Bank briefcase during the World Championship match last week as opposed to waiting until McIntyre was the champion. Drew mentions Cody Rhodes having political power and CM Punk coming back and being welcomed with open arms.

CM Punk comes out and he says anything McIntyre has to say he can say it to his face. McIntyre claims that 10 years ago CM Punk liked to call himself a leader but he wasn't a leader for McIntyre when he needed one. Punk says he leads by example. Drew calls Punk a narcissist and a demon. Punk says that he's not a demon but when he needs to be he can be Satan himself. Drew says he's entering the rumble and he's going to throw Punk out. Punk says he is so nice he's going to throw Drew McIntyre out last.

- Becky Lynch says in a backstage interview that its not over with Nia Jax

* Kofi Kingston vs. Ludwig Kaiser ends in a double count-out.

- Kofi and Kaiser brawled with Kaiser getting the better of the former WWE Champion.

- Michael Cole interviews Nia Jax. She declares for the Royal Rumble. Rhea Ripley comes out and reminds Jax that she threw her over boo boothe top rope at last year's Royal Rumble. Jax says that when she wins the Royal Rumble she will choose to face Ripley.

- A recap package shows The Rock returning last week.

- Cody Rhodes prepares himself for an interview with Jackie Redmond. He gets attacked by Shinsuke Nakamura instead. They are quickly separated by officials.

* WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter (c) def. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

- A vignette plays showing why R-Truth is so determined to be a member of Judgment Day. It is objectively hilarious and can be seen below.

Judgment Day has a little meeting in their clubhouse and they're trying to decide when they need to handle Truth. Miz vs. McDonagh is next.

* The Miz def. JD McDonagh.

- R-Truth appeared at ringside and he tried to help McDonagh but of course, that didn't go so well for him.

- Judgment Day is incensed backstage and they say they need to handle business ASAP.

- Seth Rollins heads to the ring. He puts over his own WrestleMania lineage but says he's never defended a World Championship there. He puts over the Monday Night Raw roster as being stacked. Out comes Jinder Mahal. Mahal reminds everybody that he defeated Randy Orton to become WWE Champion. Rollins agrees that Mahal is overlooked. Rollin says he doesn't appreciate being interrupted but dares Mahal to take a shot at him. Mahal tries to attack him from behind, Rollins gets out of it. He goes for a Stomp, but Mahal gets out of the way.

- Shinsuke Nakamura is getting ready for the main event, which is now a Street Fight, against Cody Rhodes

* Ivar def. Otis

- Jey Uso tells Jackie Redmond that this is the year he becomes a singles champion in WWE. He gets interrupted by Bronson Reed.

* Street Fight: Cody Rhodes def. Shinsuke Nakamura
