WWE RAW (7/31/23) Results: Cody Rhodes/Brock Lesnar Confrontation, Seth Rollins Teams With Sami Zayn

WWE hosted its latest episode of Monday Night Raw on July 31, 2023. With it being the final episode of WWE Raw before WWE SummerSlam 2023, the show promises to host Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar under the same roof, an appearance by Logan Paul, tag team action pitting Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn against Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio of The Judgment Day, and more.

WWE Raw (7/31/23) Results

- Logan Paul entered the ring and insulted the audience. He pledges to defeat Ricochet at WWE SummerSlam in the most viral match in WWE history. Ricochet interrupts and declares Paul a horrible human being while praising him as an athlete and showman. Ricochet was one of the greatest until he showed up, says Paul. He claims he made them famous with their appearance at the WWE Royal Rumble. Paul promises Ricochet a "helluva match" at SummerSlam and extends a handshake. He then informs Ricochet that Samantha Irvin will announce him as the winner on Saturday. They fight. Paul knocks Ricochet down in mid-air with a knockout punch.

- Footage recaps what happened last week between Imperium, Matt Riddle, and Drew McIntyre. Backstage, Gunther says he is disappointed in Imperium and especially Ludwig for not beating McIntyre last week. Gunther informs everyone that McIntyre is not there and says that Kaiser can make it up to him this week by defeating Riddle.

- Backstage, Maxxine Dupri and Valhalla are preparing for their match.

- Byron Saxton interviews Logan Paul about what happened earlier in the night and gloats about knocking out Ricochet, and calls him a human-sized fetus.

- A package recaps the feud between Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes.

* Maxxine Dupri (w/ Alpha Academy's Chad Gable & Otis) def. Valhalla (w/ Viking Raiders Erik & Ivar)

- Tommaso Ciampa confronts Shinsuke Nakamura in the locker room. He says he's going to defeat Nakamura tonight and go on to win the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal this Saturday. Nakamura says it will be him that wins tonight and in the Battle Royal on Saturday.

- Judgment Day comes to the ring for a promo. They brag about how they're beating everybody's ass on Monday Night Raw. Finn Balor says he's going to leave Seth Rollins scarred after SummerSlam. Dominik Mysterio tries to speak, Houston boos him out of the building. Rhea Ripley claims that if anybody tries to get it in their way, they should run and hide like Raquel Rodriguez. Rodriguez shows up, brawls with Rhea Ripley, and gets the better of her. Judgment Day just sort of watches on. Raquel takes the action to the outside of the ring and continues to dominate Ripley. She throws her all around ringside. Thanks to some distraction from Mysterio, Ripley is able to clip Rodriguez's knee. That's when officials decide to show up and stop all of the action.

- Video package recaps the issues between Ronda Rousey and Shana Baszler. It is announced that their match at SummerSlam will be contested under MMA rules.

- Alpha Academy is backstage celebrating Maxxine's victory. It has been announced that Chad Gable & Otis will be in the SummerSlam Slim Jim. They're interrupted by Imperium. Imperium makes fun of them. Dupri reminds them that Gable is a formal Olympian. Ludwig Kaiser says Gable wouldn't last 5 minutes. Gunther says that's a good idea, and they should have the clock on the wall for an impromptu match tonight. Gable says Gunther should leave Imperium backstage, and he will do the same.

*Shinsuke Nakamura def. Tommaso Ciampa

- A video package recaps the most recent happenings in the rivalry between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns courtesy of the most recent episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

- Adam Pearce checks on Raquel Rodriguez, who is currently in the trainer's room getting her knee looked at. He says she is currently not cleared but promises her a match with Rhea Ripley as soon as she is.

- Brock Lesnar comes out for his confrontation with Cody Rhodes. Brock Lesnar runs down his accolades. He invites Cody Rhodes down to the ring. Cody comes down and shakes Brock Lesnar's hand. Lesnar tries to disrespect Cody on his way out of the ring. This leads to Cody delivering a suicide dive to Brock. They brawl on the outside. Brock eventually beats Cody down with the steel steps and drops him with an F5 in the ring.

* 5-Minute Challenge: Chad Gable def. Gunther by surviving the time limit.

- Gunther immediately demands that more time be added to the clock. The referee is given word that the match will be restarted as a proper match.

* Gunther def. Chad Gable

- After the match, Gunther stands on top of the announce table and cuts a promo about how he will defeat Drew McIntyre on Saturday, and people should get used to seeing him winning and celebrating his victories.

- Sami Zayn & Seth Rollins are in the back getting ready for the main event as Becky Lynch comes to the ring, and Kevin Patrick is happy about it.

- Cody Rhodes tells Byron Saxton that he will shatter the legend of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

- Becky Lynch tells challenges Trish Stratus to their rematch right now. Out comes Trish, who says she thought about doing the match now, but then she decided that she doesn't want to do these things on Lynch's terms. Adam Pearce comes out and decides that the match will take place right now and sends Trish to the ring with a ref.

* Becky Lynch def. Trish Stratus by disqualification when Zoey Stark immediately hits the ring and attacks her.

- After the "match," a brawl continues, and Becky Lynch continues to take on both Stark and Stratus in a two-on-one attack. Lynch does okay, but Trish eventually ends the brawl by utilizing a steel chair to the gut of Lynch.

- Adam Pearce runs into Trish and Zoey backstage and tells Trish that she will face Becky Lynch again in 2 weeks in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on Monday Night Raw on August 14.

- The Shayna Baszler/Ronda Rousey video package continues on from earlier.
