WWE Raw (7/8/24) Results

- CM Punk kicked off the show. He says he is stoked to be in Ottawa. He wishes John Cena well on his retirement tour. Then he starts going on about his rivalry with Drew McIntyre, including the reveal that he was fined $25,000 for his actions at WWE Money in the Bank. Seth Rollins comes out to confront Punk. Rollins says CM Punk cost him the World Heavyweight Championship. Punk apologizes and immediately says he can't be too sorry since he's talking to Rollins. Punk says he's blinded by rage, to which Seth responds that he's always got an excuse. Seth says he's not going to attack CM Punk right now, but Punk doesn't have an easy ride to his vengeance on Drew McIntyre because Rollins will make sure that actions have consequences.

- Dominik Mysterio begs Adam Pearce to cancel the match that will have him tagging with Liv Morgan. Pearce refuses. Morgan approaches Mysterio and says she's excited to strategize with him. Dom says he's okay with it for the night as long as she provides him with chicken nugs or tendies.

* Jey Uso def. Chad Gable

- Uso Speared Gable after he was distracted by the apparent Wyatt Sicks arrival. After the match, the creepy Waytt girl gave Pat McAfee a box.

- Sheamus is interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond. He's talking about his 15-year career in WWE. Bronson Reed interrupts him and tells him that he's the future. Reed versus Pete is next.

* Bronson Reed def. Pete Dunne

- After the match, Sheamus ran into attacked Reed. He tried to reconcile with Pete Dunne afterward, and Pete would have none of it.

- Seth Rollins approached Damian Priest backstage as he was chatting with Judgment Day. He congratulated Priest on defending his championship. He said he would keep his word and not challenge for the belt, but Priest said it was all good and that he was rescinding the agreement.

- Sami Zayn comes out to talk to the crowd, but he gets interrupted by Bron Breakker. Breakker teases, showing him respect, and then Spears him twice. Ilja Dragunov appeared, quickly rushing to Zayn’s side. Ilja Dragunov ran out and checked on Zayn.

- Backstage, Ilja Dragunov demanded Adam Pearce give him a match against Bron Breakker.

*Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Carlito) def. Miz, Braun Strowman, R-Truth

- Adam Pearce speaks to CM Punk backstage. He tells Punk to stay away until he gets healed; otherwise, his match with Drew McIntyre and his title aspirations may go away permanently.

- Liv Morgan shows Dominic Mysterio some unique stretches backstage, and they are caught in compromising positions by the other group members. Priest tells Dom he’s starting to understand why his dad treated him a certain way. He tells the group that Dom is about to learn a lesson in consequences.

- The Wyatt vignette airs. Bo Dallas says he's happy that his family is being remembered. Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis are revealed.

- Backstage, an irate Chad Gable approached Pearce, imploring him to do something about The Wyatt Sicks as General Manager. Pearce opened the door to his office and found Bo Dallas seated on a chair. He then shut the door.

* Ilja Dragunov def. Bron Breakker via DQ

- The disqualification occurred when Breakker threw a chair at Ilja. Sami Zayn then came out to make the save.

- A Damage CTRL vignette airs, and they're still talking about needing to go through a change.

- A Damian Priest vignette airs. He is inviting Gunther to Raw next week.

- It's announced that Kofi Kingston suffered an AC joint injury, and there is a Final Testament promo. Karrion Kross addresses Kofi Kingston's holding back Xavier Woods and John Cena's retirement.

* Damage CTRL (IYOSky, Kairi Sane, & Dakota Kai) def. Lyra Valkyria, Kayden Carter, & Katana Chance

- After the match, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya Deville hit the ring and attacked everyone.

- Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya Deville explain their actions backstage, and the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre taunt them.

- Gunther promo airs.

* Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan def. LWO (Rey Mysterio & Zelina Vega)

- After the match, Lib & Dom hug, and they nearly kiss as they celebrate Dom beating his dad for the first time, and of course, right on cue, Rhea Ripley comes back. Morgan leaves the building so fast that it's almost like she's never even heard of Dom or her Women's Championship, and Ripley is left to confront her Latino Heat.
