On Monday, May 27, 2024, WWE hosted a new episode of Monday Night Raw on the USA Network.

This week's episode of WWE Raw will feature the fallout of the 2024 WWE King and Queen of the Ring event.

Liv Morgan will defend the Women's World Championship against Becky Lynch inside the confines of a steel cage and JD McDonagh has the unfortunate task of trying to take down Braun Strowman.

WWE Raw Results (5/27)

The show kicked off with Gunther making his first address as WWE King of the Ring. He mentioned that he is going to bring prestige to the King of the Ring just like he brought prestige to the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He starts knocking Damian Priest for taking shortcuts to become World Heavyweight Champion. Priest comes out and says that he earned the right to take shortcuts because he won the briefcase and asks Gunther if he knows anything about the business. Gunther says that he doesn't know much about business but he knows about this great sport and he welcomes Priest to give him a lecture on business before SummerSlam where he can address him as King or after SummerSlam where he can address him as the World Heavyweight Champion.

Drew McIntyre comes out and says that he believes Priest is overlooking him and their match at WWE Clash at the Castle. Gunther excuses himself. Priest and Drew go back and forth hyping their match at the upcoming PLE before Braun Strowman comes out and stares down the champion before getting ready for his match against JD McDonagh.

* Braun Strowman def. JD McDonagh

- Carlito and Finn Balor tried to help JD get the job on the big man but to no avail. They also tried to attack him after the match but were equally as unsuccessful including JD who tried to hit Braun with a chair.

- Liv Morgan is interviewed about her upcoming steel cage match with Becky Lynch. Morgan says that because of Dominik Mysterio, Becky can still claim that Morgan has never beaten her one-on-one but that will change tonight.

- A vignette covers Bron Breakker attacking Ricochet last week. Ricochet is shown getting clearance from medical staff to compete tonight. He tells Adam Pearce that he wants to face Bron but Adam says that he is suspended and will get the match in due time. Ilja Dragunov comes in and thanks Ricochet for pushing him out of the way last week and taking the brunt of the attack. He offers Ricochet another singles match and Ricochet says he wants it right then and there. The former NXT Champion tries to say no because of Ricochet's condition but Adam allows it.

* Ilja Dragunov vs. Ricochet ends in double disqualification due to outside interference

- Bron Breakker comes in and Spears both men. He's escorted out by Adam Pearce who is furious with him.

- Cathy Kelley tries to get an update from Adam Pearce who is sidetracked talking to Kiana James.

- There is a segment with Miz and R-Truth getting ice cream. Their approach by new day who ask them if they're still doing a Memorial Day raffle. Truth and Miz have different answers. Karrion Kross confronts Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. New Day challenges AOP for next week.

* Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) def. The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed)

- Rey Mysterio cut a promo on Carlito

- A Memorial Day package airs

- Sheamus comes out and reveals that Ludwig Kaiser sidelined him and that's why he wasn't at WWE King and Queen of the Ring. Kaiser appears on the Titantron and taunts Sheamus who heads to the backstage area trying to find him. They begin brawling and they must be separated by Adam Pearce.

- Becky Lynch tells Lyra Valkyria backstage that sometimes you need to know when to walk away.

* Lyra Valkyria def. Kairi Sane

- Damian Priest asks JD McDonagh and Finn Balor what's going on with them. He confronts JD about speaking with Liv Morgan. Dominik Mysterio enters the room and Priest confronts him about what he's doing. Mysterio says that he promised Rhea Ripley he would make things right tonight.

* Rey Mysterio def. Carlito

- Judgment Day beat down Rey Mysterio after the match. Priest is not happy he has to do this.

- Chad Gable berates Alpha Academy backstage. He tells Otis that he's giving him a chance to redeem himself by giving him a match with Bronson Reed.

* Bronson Reed def. Otis

- Otis kept going for the caterpillar but Chad Gable kept stopping him, leading to Reed taking an advantage.

- Chad Gable demands an emergency Alpha Academy meeting. He says Otis lacks discipline and he takes off his belt and attempts to spank Otis. Maxxine stops him so he yells at her and tells her to get out of his ring and not come back. Sami Zayn comes out. he tells Otis to stand up for himself. The crowd gets behind Otis, but Chad Gable attacks. Otis is conflicted as Gable fights Zayn but eventually, Gable gets better of the exchange and Otis leaves with him feeling sad.

* Women's World Championship Steel Cage Match: Liv Morgan (c) def. Becky Lynch

- Dominik Mysterio comes out and holds the cage door open for Becky. JD and Finn come out to try and stop him. Strowman comes out to finally get his hands on JD. All of this chaos leads to the cage door closing on Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan getting the pin. Afterward, the American feed cut it, but Liv Morgan forces a kiss onto Dominik Mysterio.
