Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of Monday Night RAW!
- We open tonight's show with a recap of the end of last week's where Bobby Lashley defeated Braun Strowman and took out The Miz before standing tall with the WWE Championship.
- We get a graphic for Drew McIntyre and Sheamus before we go right to the ring for the two in our opening match. Before the match Drew comes out to the ring and says that he doesn't understand why Sheamus betrayed him before saying that they're going to beat the hell out of each other and have an absolute war. Drew talks about how he defended his WWE Championship in the Elimination Chamber before he was beaten down afterwards by Bobby Lashley and lost his title to The Miz right after. Drew says that he's determined to defend the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania and face the winner of tonight's main event at Fastlane. The Miz and John Morrison come out rather than Sheamus before Miz says that he admires how Drew has handled losing the WWE Championship gracefully.
Drew congratulates Miz and welcomes him into the ring for a hug before Miz says that Drew shouldn't be upset about Miz doing exactly at what he should have and cashing in at the opportune time. Drew doesn't take the bait and says that Miz will have to deal with Bobby on his own before Miz says that he was threatened into agreeing to give Bobby a title shot after he cashed in. Miz and John then try to get Drew to join them before The Hurt Business' music plays and MVP comes out onto the stage. MVP then says that Miz will be destroyed at 9PM EST before leaving and Sheamus comes out for their match. The two then meet on the ramp and brawl before they're separated by officials and Drew sends Sheamus over the barricade as we go to commercial.
Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus
Once the match starts Drew beats on Sheamus in the corner before Sheamus clotheslines Drew and hits a diving knee for one before Drew hits a snap suplex. Drew whips Sheamus into the corner before Sheamus takes him down and stomps him in the midsection before driving his knee into the side of his face. Sheamus elbows Drew for two before Drew catches Sheamus in the ropes and hits him with clubbing blows before Sheamus sends Drew through the ropes and out of the ring. Sheamus then hits a pump kick that sends Drew off of the apron and back down onto the floor as we go to commercial.
Sheamus is in control of Drew in the ring as we come back from the break before Drew gets to his feet and punches his way free before Sheamus hits the Irish Curse backbreaker for two. Sheamus focuses on the back of Drew and stomps it before choking him in the ropes and driving his knee into his throat. Drew comes back with several clotheslines into an overhead belly to belly suplex before clotheslining Sheamus over the top rope and down onto the floor. Drew sends Sheamus into the post and hits an overhead belly to belly onto the announce table before suplexing him onto it and tossing him back inside. Drew goes up top and hits a diving clothesline for two before Sheamus clotheslines him and goes up top before Drew meets him.
Drew then rocks Sheamus and hits an overhead belly to belly off of the top for a near fall as we go to commercial.
We come back to the two exchanging strikes before Drew hits a spine buster for a deep two count before Sheamus hits a bicycle knee into White Noise for a near fall. Drew hits the Future Shock DDT for a near fall of his own before Sheamus rolls out of the ring and snaps the back of Drew against the ropes. Drew hits Sheamus with an avalanche White Noise for a near fall before Sheamus hits Drew with an Alabama slam for a near fall. Drew then pins Sheamus with a Claymore as Sheamus goes for a Brogue Kick.
Winner: Drew McIntyre defeats Sheamus via pinfall.
- We get a graphic for the WWE Championship match as we see the time counting down to fifteen minutes.
- Backstage Naomi is getting ready to come out to the ring before she's interrupted by Nia Jax who is her opponent up next as the two face off as we go to commercial.
Naomi (w/ Lana) vs Nia Jax (w/ Shayna Baszler)
Nia runs over Naomi and tosses her across the ring before Naomi hits a face buster and gets dropped with a back elbow before Nia kicks in a bear hug. Nia then headbutts Naomi and hits a Samoan drop before mocking Lana at ringside and powerbombing Naomi for the pin and the win.
Winner: Nia Jax defeats Naomi via pinfall.
- We get a close up on the face of Bobby Lashley ahead of his title challenge in three minutes as we go to commercial.
- We get a video package for Rhea Ripley who is debuting soon before we go back to the ring for our next match.
- Before the WWE Championship match Miz's music plays, but he doesn't come out to the ring before we cut backstage to see Miz saying that he has cramps before Bobby goes to the back and tells Miz that he is defending the belt. Adam then tells Miz that he'll defend his title at ten tonight even if he has to carry him out to the ring.
- Braun Strowman comes out to the ring and says that he has something to get off of his chest before he's interrupted by Shane McMahon and Adam Pearce. Shane mocks Braun's intelligence and says that he'll have to communicate in his tag match and force him to work with WWE management. Shane then tells Braun that Adam will be his tag partner as a way for them to resolve their differences which is news to Adam. Shane then says that they'll be challenging for the RAW Tag Team titles before Shane has to stop Braun from attacking Adam as we go to commercial.
The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander) (c) vs Braun Strowman & Adam Pearce
Braun runs over both Cedric and Shelton before clearing the ring and running over them at ringside before tossing Cedric back inside and whipping him into the corner. Braun clotheslines Cedric and stomps him before throwing Cedric across the ring and running into the post before Shelton comes in and THB double up on Braun. Braun then sends Cedric out of the ring before Shane makes Braun tag in Adam who is immediately pinned by Shelton with an inside cradle.
Winner: The Hurt Business retain their RAW Tag Team titles by defeating Adam Pearce and Braun Strowman via pinfall.
- Backstage Elias and Jaxson Ryker walk up to Damian Priest and Bad Bunny before Elias mocks Bad and says that the two of them should put out a single before Bunny rejects his offer.
- We then see the timer for the WWE Championship match at thirty four minutes as we go to commercial.
Elias (w/ Jaxson Ryker) vs Damian Priest (w/ Bad Bunny)
Elias and Damian exchange wrist locks before Elias backs into the ropes for the break before Elias locks in a cravat and Damian counters into a straight armbar. Priest then rocks Elias with kicks and sends him out of the ring as Bunny looks on as we go to commercial.
We come back to Elias in control of Damian before they run the ropes and Damian takes Elias down before Jaxson cheap shots Damian and Elias takes control. Elias grounds Priest before Priest gets to his feet and hits a flurry of strikes before hitting a jumping back elbow in the corner. Priest hits the Broken Arrow for a near fall before Elias sends Priest out onto the apron hits a bicycle knee for a near fall. Damian then counters Drift Away before hitting Hit the Lights for the pin and the win.
Winner: Damian Priest defeats Elias via pinfall.
- We get a recap of the last two weeks between Miz and Bobby which set up tonight's title match as we go to commercial.
-We go backstage to an interview with Randy Orton who says that he doesn't know what happened last week, but Alexa Bliss had a part to play. We see the video from last week where Randy coughed up a black fluid and nearly does again before Alexa shows up on a screen behind him. Alexa then tells Randy that there's something he should know before she laughs while holding a jack in the box and a demonic Randy appears on the screen. The demonic version of Randy then tells him that he'll soon come face to face with everything he's done before laughing as Randy chokes off camera.
- We go to the ring for the WWE Championship match where Miz tries to stall and says that Bobby should challenge for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Bobby and MVP deny Miz.
WWE Championship Match
The Miz (c) (w/ John Morrison) vs Bobby Lashley (w/ MVP)
Miz immediately takes the belt and runs away to the back before he's counted out.
Winner: Bobby Lashley defeats The Miz via count out, but The Miz retains due to champions advantage.
- Backstage MVP and Bobby meet with Shane who says that he'll consider stripping Miz of the title before Bobby says he'd rather he find him so he can beat the piss out of him.
- Before the match between Charlotte and Shayna, Charlotte says that she's going challenge Asuka for the RAW Women's title at Wrestlemania before she's interrupted by Shayna and Nia. Shayna mocks Asuka and knocking teeth out of her mouth before Nia says that either she or Shayna will be challenging Asuka for the title. Once they get into the ring they take out Charlotte as we go to commercial with the match now in jeopardy.
Charlotte vs Shayna Baszler (w/ Nia Jax)
Shayna is control as we come back from the break to the match already in progress as we see Naomi and Lana looking on from a monitor backstage. Charlotte comes back with chops and forearms in the corner before hitting a fall away slam before Shayna counters a Figure Four. Charlotte then sends Nia into the steps before Charlotte counters the Kirifuda Clutch into the Natural Selection for the pin and the win.
Winner: Charlotte Flair defeats Shayna Baszler via pinfall.
- Backstage we see Shane and Adam where Shane tells Adam to tell Bobby that Miz will show up tonight or be stripped of his title as we go to commercial.
Riddle & Lucha House Party vs Retribution (Mace, T-Bar & Slapjack w/ Ali & Reckoning)
T-Bar immediately hits Riddle with a choke breaker for an early near fall before Slapjack comes in and Retribution cut the ring in half until Riddle gets the hot tag to Lince. LHP and Riddle then take out Retribution before Metalik hits a diving splash off of the shoulders of Lince for the pin and the win.
Winner: Lucha House Party and Riddle defeat Retribution via pinfall.
- After the match Ali challenges Riddle to a match which he accepts as we go to commercial.
Riddle (w/ Lucha House Party) vs Ali (w/ Retribution)
Riddle and Ali grapple on the mat before Riddle hits a gut wrench suplex and Ali dropkicks the elbow if Riddle before going right after his now injured arm. Riddle counters a neckbreaker into a rear naked choke before hitting a Pele kick into an exploder and a senton into a PK for a near fall. Riddle then hits the Final Flash before the referee and Riddle are distracted by Retribution and Ali sends Riddle off of the top and onto the mat for the pin and the win.
Winner: Ali defeats Riddle via pinfall.
- Backstage Miz shows up and tells Shane that WWE need him as champion and deserves to go to Wrestlemania and respect before saying that he feels humiliated.
WWE Championship Lumberjack Match
The Miz (c) (w/ John Morrison) vs Bobby Lashley (w/ MVP)
Before the match Miz goes to leave before Shane comes out and makes it a lumberjack match before the locker room empties and surrounds the ring. Once the match starts Miz immediately goes to hit Bobby with the WWE title before Bobby stomps Miz in the corner and throws him across the ring. Cedric and Shelton toss Miz back inside before Bobby hits him with a flat liner and beats on Miz in mount before hitting a spine buster. Bobby then locks in the Hurt Lock and forces Miz to tap for the win.
Winner: Bobby Lashley defeats The Miz via submission to become the new WWE champion.
- After the match Bobby celebrates before putting Miz in the Hurt Lock again and celebrating with MVP as we go off the air.
