WWE SmackDown (10/18/2024) Results

- The show opens with a special team of people carrying in the WWE Crown Jewel Title in a special case.

- Corey Graves sent it to a highlight package covering everything from Roman Reigns to Jimmy Uso to the new Bloodline.

- Solo Sikoa came out to the ring. Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa flank him. Sikoa ran down his accomplishments and said that the beatdowns would continue unless Roman Reigns came down to the ring by the night's end. He's interrupted by Jey Uso, who is coming from Monday Night Raw. Jey Uso pleaded with his little brother not to break up the family. He explained that he also has issues with Roman and is okay with Solo trying to take away his power, but he doesn't want the family to suffer. Solo shut Jey down and told him to acknowledge him. Jey said there was a reason the family stayed away from Jacob and the Tongans and then got in Jacob's face. Before Uso left the ring, he said it would be different the next time he saw them.

* #1 Contender For WWE Tag Team Titles Triple Threat: #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) def. Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince), and Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford)

- There was a really cool double-pin finish, with Montez Ford pinning Elton Prince as Johnny Gargano pinned Kit Wilson. Referee Jessika Carr gave the win to #DIY because they pinned the legal man.

Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso came backstage to the arena in an SUV. They bumped into Jey Uso, who seemed okay with Jimmy now but was too happy to give Roman the cold shoulder. Roman told him he was proud of him, "YEET." Jey responded, "Man, no YEET," then walked away.

- Nia Jax was seen talking in Nick Aldis' office on the phone. Tiffany Stratton was unable to attend the event due to illness, according to Jax. Jax attempted to claim that her tag bout against Bayley and Naomi had been called off due to this. Aldis said the bout was not canceled because Jax needed to find someone else. Candice LeRae entered the room alongside Indi Hartwell. LeRae offered her services, and Aldis scheduled the tag bout.

* Lash Legend def. Piper Niven

- Roman Reigns was backstage with Jimmy Uso and said he would acknowledge Solo Sikoa tonight.

- Cody Rhodes cut a promo about wrestling Gunther at WWE Crown Jewel. He compared it to having Goldberg versus Steve Austin back in the 90s. He said he wants the John Cena schedule. He would love to invite Gunther into the ring with him. He invites Gunther to SmackDown next week.

- Kevin Owens cut a promo (alluded to previously on social media) about feeling slighted by WWE's treatment of Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton's betrayal.

Randy Orton entered Nick Aldis' office and asked for a match with Kevin Owens at WWE Crown Jewel. Aldis says he can't combine the matches due to a higher power.

* #1 Contender For WWE Tag Team Titles Triple Threat: Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Los Garzas (Angel Garza & Berto Garza) vs. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller)

- Byron Saxton is backstage interviewing Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. It's announced that their seventh match will not occur tonight but next week. Hayes punches Andrade with a chain.

* Nia Jax & Candice LeRae def. Bayley & Naomi

- Nick Aldis announced that LA Knight would be the guest referee for Andrade vs. Hayes next week.

- Roman Reigns comes out and says that South Carolina could acknowledge him, perhaps for the last time. Out comes Solo Sikoa for Roman's supposed acknowledgment. Just like Jey Uso was earlier, Reigns tries to appeal to the family man in Solo. Roman says that the family is more divided and that he wants an abundance of money and accolades for the family. He asks what he'd have to do to get everyone on the same page, and Solo asks for acknowledgment. Roman acquiesces, but that's still not good enough. Solo wants to be acknowledged as Roman's Tribal Chief.

That is too much for Roman, who snaps at Solo. So, Solo brings out his Bloodline, who is shown dragging an injured Jimmy Uso. They leave him on the ramp and attack Roman after Roman tries his best to get the jump on Solo. Roman is left lying for another week, and the show draws to a close.
