Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage of tonight's edition of WWE Smackdown! Live!
-We open the show with a recap of last night's RAW where Roman Reigns was in a handicap match against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre before The Undertaker evened the odds and chokeslammed Shane before we have a tag match between the four announced for Extreme Rules. Shane then shows up on the big screen and talks about the match before saying that no one on the Smackdown! Live roster better get on his bad side.
-The New Day come out to the ring next and talk about Kofi's title defense against Dolph Ziggler in a steel cage this past weekend before Kofi addresses the attack by Samoa Joe last night on RAW. Dolph comes out and says that Joe won't be jumping in front of him and that he won't be forgotten before saying that he should be the WWE champion and announces that if he wins tonight he will be added to the title match between Joe and Kofi at Extreme Rules. Dolph then ends the segment by saying that the match will be 2 out of 3 falls before leaving as we go to commercial.
-The Miz meets with Elias backstage and tells him to give him a message for Shane before leaving, Shane coming out immediately after and saying that Miz can have his match if he can beat Elias in two out of three falls.
New Day (Xavier Woods & Big-E) vs Daniel Bryan & Rowan
Xavier and Daniel start the match off with Daniel dropping Xavier with a shoulder tackle before Xavier dropkicks him and Rowan gets the blind tag. Rowan runs into Xavier and knocks him over before stomping him in the corner and hits an elbow drop for a quick two count. Rowan hangs Xavier on the top rope before Daniel hits a diving knee drop for a quick two count and stomps Xavier before Rowan comes right back in and gets caught with a boot, but he doesn't stop his attack. Rowan then catches Xavier in the air before Xavier gets dropped with a running cross body as we go to commercial.
Rowan is in control as we return to the action before Big-E gets the tag and hits Daniel with several suplexes before Daniel gets his knees up when Big-E goes for a splash. Daniel locks in a cross face that Xavier breaks up before taking out Rowan at ringside and Daniel kicks Big-E in the corner. Big-E then catches Daniel coming in and New Day hit Daniel with The Midnight Hour for the pin and the win.
Winner: New Day defeat Daniel Bryan and Rowan via pinfall when they pin Daniel with The Midnight Hour.
-Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn attack New Day after the match before Heavy Machinery and New Day clear the ring as we go to commercial.
New Day & Heavy Machinery vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn & Daniel Bryan & Rowan
Rowan and Tucker start the match with Rowan in control early, setting Tucker on the top turnbuckle before hitting a superplex for a near fall that both members of New Day break up. Daniel hits Big-E with a flying knee before Rowan takes out Xavier and Tucker turns Daniel inside out with a lariat. Otis gets the tag and takes out everyone else on the apron as Sami gets hit with a scoop slam and hits several running splashes in the corner. Kevin then opts to leave before Sami is hit with the Compactor for the pin and the win.
Winner: Heavy Machinery and New Day defeat Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and Rowan via pinfall.
-We get a recap of last night's RAW's segment between Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross where Nikki tells Alexa that if she beats Bayley tonight Alexa will get a rematch at Extreme Rules.

The Miz vs Elias
Miz goes right after Elias and hits him with right before Elias rolls out of the ring and Miz goes after him before rolling him back into the ring. Elias then hits Miz with a twisting neckbreaker for the pin and the first fall when Shane distracts The Miz as we go to commercial.
Elias sends Miz throat first into the rope and hits him with right hands in the corner before Elias chokes him in the ropes and suplexes him for a quick two count. Elias takes Miz down with a side headlock before Miz fights his way to his feet and hits a DDT for a two count, Miz hitting Elias with kicks and a knee before knocking Shane off of the apron. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for a near fall that Shane breaks up before he and Elias send Miz out of the ring and over the announce table. Elias then hits a diving elbow drop for the pin and the win.
Winner: Elias defeats The Miz via pinfall when he pins him twice.
-After the match Shane hits a coast to coast dropkick to Miz before he and Elias leave. We then go backstage to an interview with Finn Bálor before he's interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura who touches the Intercontinental Championship and leaves.
Nikki Cross vs Bayley
Nikki jumps on the back of Bayley who throws her down and clotheslines her for a quick two count before hitting a running clothesline in the corner. Nikki hits a diving cross body for a quick two count before Bayley hits a snake eyes and puts Nikki in the tree of woe. Bayley then hits a running springboard elbow drop off of the bottom rope for a two count as we go to commercial.
Nikki hits a jawbreaker and a running splash in the corner into a bulldog and a reverse DDT for a near fall. Bayley sends Nikki out of the ring and misses a suicide dive before Nikki tosses her back into the ring and hits a neckbreaker for a near fall. Bayley hits a back drop driver for a near fall and misses a diving cross body before Nikki gets a near fall off of a crucifix. Bayley then hits Nikki with a knee before Nikki counters a pin into one of her own.
Winner: Nikki Cross defeats Bayley via pinfall to earn Alexa Bliss a rematch at Bayley at Extreme Rules.
-We go backstage to Carmella looking for R-Truth who's hiding before Drake Maverick shows up and says that his life is in shambles thanks to Truth ruining his wedding and repeatedly defeating him. Truth then teases that he'll let him pin him before he and Carmella run off.
Ember Moon vs Sonya Deville w/Mandy Rose
Ember slaps Sonya and drops her with a rolling forearm into an enzuigiri before Sonya rolls out of the ring and Ember gets distracted by Mandy at ringside. Sonya then sends Ember into the ring post and rolls her back into the ring for the pin and the win.
Winner: Sonya Deville defeats Ember Moon via pinfall.
-We get a taped segment by Aleister Black in the dark, Black complaining that no one will come meet him before someone knocks on the door and we cut back to the arena.

Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston
They get things started by grappling until Kofi backs Dolph into the corner for a clean break and Dolph dropkicks Kofi for a quick two count. Dolph hits a running splash in the corner into a monkey flip, but Kofi lands on his feet and dropkicks him for a quick two count. They exchange pin falls and Dolph sends Kofi out onto the apron before Kofi the first fall off of a sunset flip. Dolph then sends Kofi into the barricade and hits a Zigzag on the floor as we go to commercial.
Dolph immediately superkicks Kofi for the second fall and chokes Dolph in the ropes before whipping Kofi into the corner for a quick two count. Dolph locks in a cross face chicken wing that Kofi fights out of before Kofi whips Dolph sternum first into the turnbuckle. Dolph sends Kofi face first into the middle turnbuckle and hits a jumping elbow drop for a two count. Kofi gets a near fall off of a backslide before he goes for a moonsault that Dolph counters before Dolph hits a DDT for a near fall. Dolph sends Kofi out of the ring and Kofi hits an enzuigiri before hitting a springboard clothesline for a near fall. Kofi counters a famouser into a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall before Dolph sends Kofi into the ring post and hits the Zigzag for a very close near fall. They then counter each other before Kofi hits the Trouble in Paradise for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kofi Kingston defeats Dolph Ziggler via pinfall when he gets two falls, denying Dolph entrance into the championship match.
