-Becky Lynch comes out to the ring to be interviewed by Renee about her challenging Carmella for her Smackdown! Women's Championship at Summerslam. Carmella comes out and acts nice to Becky and says that she's a great competitor and that they'll have a great match at Summerslam before the James Ellsworth music hits and Carmella superkicks Becky before she goes to DDT her onto a chair. Charlotte comes out and hits a fall away suplex that sends Carmella out of the ring before she leaves up the ramp as we go to commercial.
Smackdown Tag Team Tournament First Round Match
The Usos vs The Bar
Jey and Sheamus start the match off with Jey rocking him with a series of right hands before dropkicking him out of the ring as we head to break.
-We return to the action to Cesaro in control of Jey, getting a quick two count as soon as we come back before The Bar double team Jey for a quick two count. Sheamus tries his best to keep Jey grounded for several minutes before Sheamus goes shoulder first into the ring post. Jimmy gets the tag as Cesaro does before hitting a Samoan drop for a quick two count and drops Cesaro with an enzuigiri before taking out Sheamus with a tope to the outside. Once back in the ring Jimmy hits a diving cross body for a near fall before Cesaro launches Jimmy off of the top turnbuckle and into the barricade as we go back to commercial.
We come back to Jimmy hitting a whisper in the wind before hitting a superkick and Jey hits a splash off of the top for a near fall. The Bar then counters two splashes by The Usos before Sheamus rolls Jey him up for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Bar defeat The Usos to move on to the next round of the Smackdown Tag Team Tournament.
-Samoa Joe comes out to the ring and says that he respects AJ Styles and everything it took to become champion before saying that AJ has been a failure as a husband and a father. Joe says that he will tear down the house that AJ built before sending him back to his family without the WWE Championship.
-Jeff Hardy comes out to the ring and talks about Randy Orton and how he has attacked him the past several weeks. Jeff says that nothing means more than winning back the United States Championship, but his first priority is beating up Randy Orton. Randy comes out to the ring before Jeff is assaulted by Shinsuke who comes out of nowhere and lays Jeff out before leaving. Randy stomps all of the limbs of Jeff repeatedly before hitting a draping DDT onto the floor and tossing him onto the announce table and beating on him. Randy then rips off the shirt, wrist bands and necklace of Jeff before pouring water on his face and washing off his face paint.
Lana vs Zelina Vega
They shove each other until Lana takes Zelina down and beats on her before Vega rolls out of the ring and regroups with Andrade as we go to commercial.
Zelina is in control as we come back from commercial until Lana fights out of a headlock and Zelina rocks her with a boot before hitting running knees in the corner for a very close near fall. Lana then drops Vega repeatedly before hitting a running back elbow before getting distracted by Almas. Zelina then rolls Lana up after Aiden comes out and yanks him from the apron for the pin and the win.
Winner: Zelina Vega defeats Lana via pinfall with a roll up.
-Daniel Bryan comes out and shows a video of what The Miz did to him last week, using a baby doll as a means to get the drop on Daniel and hit him with The Skull Crushing Finale. Daniel talks about the two years Miz talked about him up until he was cleared to compete. Daniel says that if they ever got in a fair fight they he would destroy Miz. Daniel invites Miz to come out and prove him wrong before Miz appears on the big screen and says that Daniel has to earn the right to face him before plugging The Miz & Mrs. Daniel says that Miz is a coward before Miz says that he has carried Daniel since he was in NXT before Daniel says that the Miz will never be The Rock or John Cena and that The Miz is too soft as a performer.
Daniel then challenges Miz to a match at Summerslam before Miz says that Daniel needs to move on and let his contract expire and that he needs to be quiet and to go away.
Charlotte vs Carmella
They lock up to start the match for a clean break before Carmella moon walks and they lock up again as Becky looks on from backstage. Charlotte then sends Carmella out of the ring before Carmella sends her into the barricade as we go to commercial.
Charlotte hits a series of chops before slamming Carmella to the mat as we come back, Charlotte missing a moonsault before Carmella dumps her out of the ring. Carmella boots Charlotte off of the apron when she tries to get back into the ring before they end up at ringside and Carmella hits a huricanrrana into the barricade. Carmella tosses Charlotte into the crowd before she gets back in and Carmella immediately beats her down. Charlotte drops Carmella with a boot for a near fall before Carmella rolls out of the ring when Charlotte tied for a figure eight. Charlotte then hits a moonsault off of the barricade before hitting a bull dog for a near fall, then Carmella counters the figure eight once again and drops Charlotte with a superkick for a very close near fall. Charlotte then submits Carmella with the Figure Eight for the win.
Winner: Charlotte defeats Carmella via submission with the Figure Eight to gain entrance to the Smackdown Women's Championship match at Summerslam.
