TKO Group Holdings showcased more brand synergy with a WWE Hall of Famer appearing in the crowd during a recent UFC event in Mexico City.
Rey Mysterio appeared in the crowd at the UFC Mexico City event on February 24, 2024. This is the latest example of crossover appeal between WWE and UFC now that both brands are merged Under the Umbrella of TKO Group Holdings.
Recently, Montez Ford, Bianca Belair, and CM Punk appeared at UFC 298. UFC fighter Michael Chandler also appeared in the crowd during the February 19 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw to challenge Conor McGregor to a future fight.
CM Punk had a couple of fights in the UFC. He recently returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series 2023. He is currently sidelined with a torn triceps.
As for whether or not we could ever see WWE Superstar Montez Ford cross over into the octagon, he recently noted that he has considered competing in an MMA fight. Read more here.
