Speaking to Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, Rey reflected on the moment with Penta.

"It was intense. It was a really special moment. Not only for us, but for Lucha Libre itself. For our people that we represent. The fact that after 40-plus years, the first Royal Rumble kicks off with two Mexicans, I get chills just thinking about it. It was a very special moment. Andrade came in after, Santos Escobar came in as well. Within the first eight minutes, you had five Latinos going at it, which is cool representation of Lucha Libre," said Rey.

Escobar entered at number five, while Andrade entered at number 11.

Elsewhere during the interview, Rey commented on his potential retirement. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
