For two years, Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio have had a contentious relationship as Dominik betrayed his father and aligned with Judgment Day.
Rey has been able to put a whooping on Dominik the past two years at WrestleMania.
Speaking to Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, Rey was asked if fans might hate Dominik because he is Rey's son.
"I think it was definitely a triggering point at a certain part of his turn. After that, now, it’s mainly based on the mustache. The mustache is really what the fans hate. I hate it. It’s got to be the mustache. Not so much the hatred he has for his father. It’s the mustache," said Rey.
That settles that.
Dominik could also be hated for betraying Rhea Ripley at WWE SummerSlam. Or his love of chicken tenders. Or his watch collection. Maybe we should ask Michael Cole why Dominik is so hated.
