Two matches are slated for the July 28 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
After defeating LA Knight, Cameron Grimes, and Sheamus in a Fatal 4-Way on July 21, Rey Mysterio earned the opportunity to challenge his LWO stablemate, Santos Escobar, in a singles match on July 28 to determine who will face Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship.
Escobar earned the opportunity on July 14, winning a Fatal 4-Way against Grayson Waller, Butch, and AJ Styles.
Speaking of AJ Styles, he lost that Fatal 4-Way on July 14 when he became distracted after seeing Karrion Kross attack Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows on the Titantron. On July 28, Anderson battles Kross in one-on-one action in an effort to gain a measure of revenge.
